The Ayaport retractable ratchet straps are perfect for securing boats to trailers. The 1-inch by 6-foot straps are durable, with a reliable ratchet mechanism for tight and secure fastening. They’re easy to adjust and retract, making loading and unloading quick and hassle-free. A great tool for ensuring safe transport of your boat.

I bought these to replace my old straps and what I can say is that they hold down jet skis with no issues. I had to move a jet ski to go get repaired and while I used these 2 straps, they really did hold it down, even with an extraordinary bumpy road. While the trailer I had it on was bumping around, these straps ensured that my jet ski was still attached and didn't move at all. What I like is that once its installed, these straps really don't move, at all. When I compare these straps to my other ones, the fabric on these straps are a lot thicker and stronger too. However, I noticed that the mechanism that tightens and loosens the straps is also heavy duty as well. Definitely buying more of these!

These ratchet straps are extremely durable and high quality. They are easy to use and definitely good to keep on hand. Very good price and value. Highly recommend them

These are good for smaller craft or loads given their rating. The retracting mechanism seems to need a stronger spring to reliably and fully retract the strap. My boat is small and light and these will work nicely for my purpose.

This past fall I ended up purchasing myself a horse for my birthday so that I could do maintenance on my wheelchairs and still be able to work on them from a sitting position. As much as I love this hoist one of the downsides is that you need to make sure that it is securely connected to one of the ceiling joists in your home. I recently paid someone to do an installation where this was improperly set up, and the hoist and a wheelchair came crashing to the ground. As I do a lot of my work in a chair that takes hours, I am now a little more cautious about ensuring that my contractors do their work correctly, and that i have a safety mechanism in place that will allow me to ensure that i will never find myself scrambling to avoid getting trapped under something I have hoisted. When I had everything reinstalled these self-ratcheting straps were one of the components that I absolutely required to ensure that even if my hoist stopped working that I would be able to safely lower the equipment that are on it. Now I know that ratcheting straps are meant to secure items 2 either a truck or bench, but for my purposes it allows me to control the position of a piece of hardware in place while I am continuing to work on that midair or after lowering it on horses that I put underneath it.

I used these a few times and they do work. Something does not feel right about these as they do not work as fluid as i would hope. I would use these only for lighter things. I am not sure how well these would hold up with heavier things and i do not want to test my fate.

Be careful on your load weight! These are advertised as 1410lbs break strength, but the actual load weight is a maximum of 470 lbs, which limits it to holding only safely holding canoes, kayaks, inflatable boats, small dinghies, or lightweight aluminum skiffs. That said, the release and pull works smoothly, the retraction works, but doesn't go completely back in, unless it's laying completely flat on the ground when you retract. I would call it more of a retraction "assist" since you are going to have to manually feed part of it in. It's still much easier than normal ratchet straps. If they clearly stated this was only for paddle boats or other loads well below 500lbs, I would probably rate it 5 stars, but since they are pushing it as an actual "boat strap" (which is NOT) than I can't give it more than 3 stars.
