My kitten loves this window shelf. She’s only 4lbs but my 20 lb dog sat in it for a few minutes to test its strength and it held up.

Our cat loves it! Very sturdy and it’s now one of her favorite spots to birdwatch. The toy was a nice surprise and she loves that as well!

So the one and only reason you should be considering this over other perches is because you can fold it up AND your cat isn't super heavy/your cats don't try to share one hammock. Normally, for a cat hammock, you want the arms to be below the hammock, so that the "lever" of the hammock is pushing *into* the window below. However, because this one *folds up* the arms go the opposite direction. This means that the lever is working to pull the suction cups *away* from the window.Installation was easy with a power drill using a clutch, I think I had mine set to the lowest setting (always start at lowest and if it can't get screw all the way in, then you increase it a bit at a time until you're at the right setting). This would be quite a workout if you don't use one since you're having to drive self-tapping screws by hand through 2 and 3 pieces of wood at a time. It's also easier to break since the long dowels can be snapped off until it's all together.I appreciate it came with an alcohol wipe to clean the window and suction cups before applying, which makes the bond much stronger.Overall, if you need a folding perch, the max weight of your cat(s) isn't above ~15ish, and either have a power drill or don't mind wrenching a screwdriver in a difficult way, this will do the job.

Easy enough to assemble (although initially I put the fabric in the wrong way around - it's easy to fix). Sticks to the window well.My 8.2lb cat loves it and the fact that it folds up allows me to close the blinds at night.Great product!

I always struggle finding items that work for my large cat. He is almost 20lbs and this has been holding up well so far! As you can see he still has to curl up quite a bit to fit but the suction is very strong and he seems to like it.

I never leave reviews but I really love this hammock specifically. I just set it up and my cat loves it already. The suction is sturdy enough to hold securely even when she jumps into it, she likes the material of the bedding, and it even came with catnip and a toy to get her interested in it. It took me less than 10 minutes to set up, and I like that it folds so I can put down my blinds if necessary.I was looking for a good window hammock and this is it!! To reverse the bedding material, you do have to take it apart, but I don't mind as it will hold better that way.Love it!!!
