I couldn't live without this. I use it for mic input and monitor output, and headphone output. It just works. I bought a second one for travel (beyond my studio). I actually like it better than the next version, ended up returning that and buying another one of these (as it just works - version 4, harder to set up).

The Scarlett was easy to install and is easy to operate. I used it on a Mac. The software quickly installed and I was able to set up within minutes. Inout and outputs have separate volume knobs for manual control. Volume and other settings can also be used within the software on a computer. Good product.

Interface começa funcionando bem, mas do nada em algumas horas ela começa a dar ruídos altos e estranhos, os ruídos só param se eu desconectar e conectar novamente o cabo usb.

I hate to see such a good product that a lot. And I do mean a huge amount of people online recommend as your first audio interface. Be shipped without newbie friendly paperwork. You can go online and find the guide for English and read over it. And it's a good guide that even shows you how to set it up in common software. It's just really frustrating for a person that's using a XLR mic for the first time to struggle to find out what the buttons do and mean. It functions great, connections work I think the value is fair. I just really was annoyed that despite being familiar with my own audio software I still can't get it to work. Even after reading the manual. Which is fine, but I think if someone who is brand new. No experience what so ever. Will struggle with this set up.There is a tag for this device stating it is returned a lot. If I had to guess it's because they don't include instructions.

Before even getting into why you need this, let’s talk about the best feature: the headphone volume control knob. This was added in this generation and is separate from the knob controlling the speakers, and it's a game changer for me.I've been using the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen for a couple of weeks now, and I gotta say, it's pretty awesome for the price. The audio quality is crystal clear, and the preamps are super clean. The Solo was plug-and-play for my setup, and it's perfect if you just need one mic and one instrument input without all the extra fuss. One of the best things is how simple it is to use. Literally, just plug it into your computer, and you’re good to go. No complicated setup, no headaches! The USB-C connection is also a huge upgrade—feels much more stable and faster than the old versions that I've had for 4+ years. Plus, the design is sleek, and it doesn't take up much space on my desk. Now, for the cons. The gain knobs feel a bit too sensitive—sometimes it's hard to dial in just the right amount, especially if you're using a hot mic. Also, it would've been nice if it had more outputs. It’s fine for what it is, but if you ever want to upgrade your setup, you might feel a little limited.Overall though, for what you pay, it's fantastic. Super reliable, great quality, and an easy way to record music or podcasts without a hassle. Highly recommend if you're just getting into recording or need a simple, high-quality interface without breaking the bank!

I host a weekly round robin music group (for over ten years) and, since COVID, have been doing so on Zoom. My former DI, a Zoom H6, fell and broke. So I replaced it with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen USB Interface about three weeks ago.I am using Windows 11 Pro on a Dell G7 laptop. I have a Shure SM-58 plugged into the Focusrite Scarlett Solo and listen through headphones plugged into it. The Scarlett is plugged into a USB port on the Dell laptop.Ever since I began using the Focusrite Scarlett Solo, I randomly (or so it seems) lose use of either my sound or my microphone, or both. I have noticed that, at times, if I open Zoom Chat, I lose the use of my mic/speaker. I have also noticed that, at times, if I open my Songbook software, I lose the use of my mic/speaker. But those last two items could also be random.I have not yet tried another Dell G7 laptop. (I have a spare.)Short of a solution, what I would like to find is a method to troubleshoot this monster.
