Worked fine on my macbook pro. Simple plug and play, no drivers or software to install. I did get a message that my USB was immediately disabled because it wanted to much power. Thought I could out smart that by switching the power select mode on the back and using a second USB cable from the computer but still got the disabled message. Had to use an external USB power brick and run the second usb-c cable from it as well as switch the power select over to that connection. Then, it immediately showed up in the Apple sound input list in system preferences. Decently clean audio.

This interface is perhaps not the best on the market but it is the best for its price and quality, it is quite firm, it feels of good quality, it provides an excellent response both to record and to monitor, it has phantom power, low cut and the option to record in mono, you can work at 24 bits / 196khz, it has 2 dslr inputs for line, microphone or instrument, witnesses to let you know when you have reached a very high peak of volume, the outputs are by vca ports, I have been using it for a few days to create my beats, mix and master and I can recommend it without a doubt.

I have two Apple MacBooks, and I connected this audio interface both of them to see how well it works. My hope was that It would sound better than the internal audio chip on the Macbooks, being that this audio interface supports hi-res audio. Well, it is not better. I tested it with two headphones and external speakers, listening to variety of different types of music, and is is just okay. Not great quality. And I had to turn the volume high on it to get equivalent sound as the Macbook's internal audio. It is nice to be able to connect external devices through the Mic and Line-in ports, and it is also nice to be able to control each of these, but my primary goal was to get better audio quality and that did not happen. Macs do have good internal audio, so if your PC or laptop's audio quality is pretty bad, this will be a step-up. Otherwise, don't expect and upgrade.

This is a surprisingly good digital audio interface for recording on to a PC or Mac. It's a solid metal box with rubber feet that connects via a provided USB cord and is automatically detected by your system. It is either powered by the USB connection to your computer, or via a USB-c to USB connector to an unsupplied power source. There are two inputs on the front for XLR or 1/4 inch microphone or instrument plugs. A switch allows you to set them for Hi-Z or low impedance equipment. On the back is a 48v phantom power switch for condenser mics that require phantom power. There is an option to turn on a high pass filter. This seems to apply to both inputs at the same time, so I don't think you can set it for a single input. A loopback feature is provided which is valuable for podcasting and including radio + microphone input to your show. There is a very good quality headphone amp provided with separate volume control. The output jacks on the back can work with balanced or unbalanced cables. I found the preamps to be very clean and the sound quality of both the recorded input and playback output was up to a par with a more expensive audio interface with which I compared it. To record on a Mac it is plug and play, but if you want to record using a PC-based Digital Audio Workstation you need ASIO, so I tried it with the freely downloadable ASIO4ALL and it worked very well. Please make note there is no MIDI interface on this, and I would suggest the company supply its own ASIO link for customers. This is a very good audio interface for people on a budget. It sounds more expensive than it is.

This Interface reminds me of a "cheap version" of the Focusrite. Now, I've never used a Focusrite, but I've just seen that it looks similar. This one is a durable audio interface since it's metal and not plastic, but I still recommend you be careful with this one.I was able to connect it to my MacBook Pro, and be able to run sound out of it, i.e. plug my headphones into the port and then listen through there. What I don't get is why would there be a headphone port in the back and in the front, I guess the front one might also involve hearing what the microphone picks up.The manual was a little bit confusing to follow as in it wasn't detailed enough to explain all the features or clarify questions such as the confusion described above.Overall, I was able to detect it through logic and was able to record some voice on my Studio Projects C1. Speaking of that, make sure phantom power is on when you plug the mic in. That almost made me give this produc a 1-star rating.

This is a disappointing product. At $50 it is below the range of other established 2IN 2OUT audio interfaces like M-Audio or Behringer. I would not skimp on $30 just to get this interface. It has all the standard stuff like direct monitoring, stereo/mono output, 48V Phantom Power and Mic Preamp. Why provide a USB C port if it can only be used for power? In this age, all modern devices are using USB C for both power and data. USB 3.0 Type B port is provided which is an ancient. I wonder if it is true USB 3 because the instructions says the port is actually a USB 2.0 port instead. Look at pictures attached. You can't use other USB cables, you have to use the one that is included. No idea why, but your custom cable will not work. Also this interface does not work with my macbook pro. It will just not detect. Finally, not really a dealbreaker but there is no MIDI in or out on this interface. Also, it installs generic drivers so if you want ASIO drivers I recommend installing FlexASIO.
