I ordered this as an upgrade to my 3rd gen FR 2i2. On one hand, the preamps sound great, but I couldn't get behind a couple of the features - chiefly the one-button-fits-all approach, the fact that there's no indicator on the phantom power switches as to what is on or off, no light to indicate whether or not phantom power is turned on, and I'm not a fan of infinity knobs - It's hard to tell how much level I have when it comes to headphone or monitor volume.Another issue I had was not being able to get the headphones to work for monitoring while recording, but that was likely an issue with the DAW rather than the unit itself, although to be fair, I've never had that issue on any other interface I've used.Ultimately I initiated a return and sent it back, going with what was initially my second choice for an interface, which has a knob, switch, indicator light for everything, and headphones that actually work while tracking.

It has completely elevated my recording and audio production experience. With its two Class-A microphone preamps, it delivers pristine sound quality that captures every nuance of my recordings. The high-performance USB interface ensures low latency and reliable connectivity, allowing me to focus on my creativity without any technical interruptions. Whether I'm recording vocals, instruments, or podcasts, the iD14 MKII consistently delivers professional-grade results. The sleek design and durable build quality are also impressive, making it a reliable companion for both studio and mobile recording setups. Overall, I highly recommend the Audient iD14 MKII to any musician, producer, or audio enthusiast looking for a top-of-the-line audio interface.

We had zero issues with drivers and initial setup on HP Windows 10 laptop, that's always a plus. We tried the 44 model several years back and wouldn't play nice with any of our pc's,so we went w Antelope Audio's Discrete 4. Wow,amazing interface but we had sometimes had issues upon startup when the internet wasn't available. We needed stability. Audient assured us before hand our pc's would work with the iD14 mkii and they were correct. Loving the no-hassles workflow, loving this usb-c interface from Audient.

I had an older Focusrite interface and switched to Audient after having some driver issues with the Focusrite. So far it seems to work well.

I actually got a UA volt 276 at first, which i liked a lot. but then i saw this one had more outputs and a bunch of nicer add on features at the same exact price. I really like the future proofing of this unit with ADAT expandability. Also the extra headphone jack. Also the scroll control. And monitor switcher. And the DI instrument input. And the fact that its usb 3.0 instead of 2.0 so super low latency. Did i mention it sounds great? (The cord included was kinda short but do with that as you will)those were all things the Volt just CHOSE not to include. Also the onboard effects on the 276 ARE NOT GOOD. they literally just raise the noise floor and introduce a bunch of cheesy “tube” hiss…. It’s just degrading the signal going in for a “vintage” effect… Which i truly hated after using hands on :(At first, i had my reservations. i kinda liked the design of the UA volt 276. But when i found the ID14 it reminded me of all those UA apollo features i was missing out on by going with the volt instead of the Apollo Solo.In the end the little iD14 is thoughtfully made. Narrowly out performing its competition’s performance, while taking huuuuuge strides ahead with its feature sets.Overall, very very happy! :)

I've used quite a lot of different interfaces over the years, a few digital, and most analog. I finally went back to digital interfaces and WOW! I have been blown away. I've been using this now for about a year and it just works. No scratchy POTS, and no buggy software and the audio loopback functionality is worth it's weight in gold 10 times over. If you are thinking about this, just get it. Don't even think. I found my perfect interface, and I hope this review may convince you as well. I don't write reviews often, but this one made me write one, and so much so that I am now even considering getting the ID44 MKII for my editing rig as my current Antelope Audio interface is so hard and cumbersome to use. I just want something that works and sounds great. Audient has delivered on this front from both a hardware and software aspect.

I wanted to love this thing. From the small amount of usage I've gotten out of it, the sound quality IS fantastic, the pre-amps are crystal clear and dynamic, and the hardware itself feels great (knobs on the top, little phantom power toggle switches, guitar input on the front, line inputs on the back). The problem is that no matter what I do, I can't get the stupid iD mixer software to show up. So every time I want to go into my DAW and make a song with this thing, I have to turn the big knob a whole bunch just to get the volume up cause I can't adjust any of the mixer settings within iD.exe because it simply won't show up in the Windows system tray despite the .exe itself running in task manager. All the app launcher ever does is open up the worthless product registration window ad nauseum, and that app doesn't have the obvious button it should to open the iD software.Been talking to Audient's useless tech support for over a month now and they can't even figure their own product out, let alone tell me how to use it or even relay information to their developers that their app doesn't work and the default settings are trash. Gonna see if Amazon can take the blasted thing back and I'll just get a Focusrite Clarett instead. Real shame too, since I really enjoyed the pre's on this thing.
