Given how much cheaper this was than the Samyang model I had my doubts but it fit well and holds the lens in place like it is supposed to. Not a high tech item but it makes an unruly lens much more manageable. As heavy as the lens is I was concerned about damaging the camera/contacts. This solves that problem as long as I support the camera with the collar.
