I was hesitant in buying this over the Nikon Brand or other more expensive versions. I was more than pleasantly surprised on the sturdiness, solid lock on the the lens, size, support and material. I fully trust this to support my $2200 lens, and it’s a perfect fit in both my Tripods. I am not sure what the little screws on the bottom are for, but they are easily removed with the included tool. At a fraction of the price, this was a fantastic grab.

This item is VERY solid and works well on the tripod. It is very secure. The only drawback is that it is nearly impossible to put on and take off.

Why does Nikon put such and obscure foot on their lens? I have the Nikon 500mm pf whatever. Stunning image quality. It was certainly a set up from my Tamron 150-600mm G2. Worth the addition $2.5k? The Tamron is a very good lens and an amazingly affordable telephoto zoom. But this Nikon's image quality is gorgeous. Sorry but here we are being "cheap" on the replacement foot. The plastic spring loaded lock is a little beefier than the Nikon. I can't say it is stronger. It certainly wants to appear stronger. WIthout destroying a few we won't know. The machined alloy slide channel is a little deeper. The fit is spot on. You have to align the Ln-N72 a little more carefully to slide on the collar than the original. It locks into place solidly to be secured. It's made to give us confidence. I haven't used more expensive solutions, so I can't compare them. But this is the solution I needed to move my lens to my various ARCA swiss compatible tripod heads.

Mates perfectly with my vr-ii. For my light use there's no reason to spend an extra hundred on a piece of aluminum.

So, I purchased a Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 used lens from a local camera store that was willing to order me a new foot for $75ish directly from Nikon. I opted out and wanted to check to see if I could find a replacement and that led me here.It’s heavier than I expected. It feels like a tank, and the fit is damn near perfect (it’s got a tension adjustment so no biggie) and I can’t wait to get some Tripod time in tonight and see how it holds up. Definitely better quality material than I expected for what I paid. Hopefully there’s no update that states otherwise.

Ho acquistato questo piastra (o piedino) in sostituzione dell'originale, andato perduto, per il nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VRII. Precedentemente avevo contattato Nital per sapere quanto poteva venire a costare il ricambio e mi avevan comunicato che il costo sarebbe stato di circa 110€, semplicemente assurdo. Così mi son messo a cercare e tra le alternative ho scelto haoge per il semplice fatto che gli altri ricambi non erano spediti da amazon, una garanzia non da poco. Inoltre non avendone un'immediata necessità avrei potuto restituire l'articolo e continuare la ricerca qualora non fosse risultato idoneo allo scopo.Ciò non è avvenuto perchè il prodotto è risultato ottimo sia nei materiali che nell'utilizzo, calza perfettamente nell'alloggio del collare e non si muove una volta stretta la vite. Personalmente lo ritengo al pari dell'originale tranne per il design spigoloso e per la manopola di regolazione più ingombrante... Roba di poco conto.
