High density foam has a compression rate of 44lbs. It features the perfect amount of cushioning and stiffness. Its soft but still holds its firmness and support for an individual to sit on it without compressing the foam too much. Compression = firmness compression (not density) is what determines firmness. If you dont want a cushion thats hard as a rock or a mattress that sinks when you sit on it, you have to check the compression or ild number. Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress a piece of foam 25% and still bounce back to the original thickness. For example, a 4" thick piece of foam that requires 33 lbs. To pack it down 1" and have it return to its full 4" thickness has a 33 lb. Compression rating or (ild) -indention load deflection. - all foam sheets are sold per sheet - not per yard. Do not open with a box cutter. Use a ball point pen or a pencil. Start by making a little incision and break it from there - durability : will last 7 to 10 yearshigh density foam is used for firmness yet relaxable cushion. It has high quality compression and material to keep it lasting for longer periods of time even when harsh weight is applied.

Nice foam however the picture showed it being white and what I received was black. Doesn't matter for what I used it for. And what I used it for was to redo my office chair seats. Perfect size with minimal trimming needed. Serrated bread knife did the trick. Perfect amount of support and give for an office chair. My office chairs look like new again!

Love it! I have had my hip and both knees replaced so it is difficult for me to stand up from my sofa and this cushion makes it absolutely perfect. It is very firm and as wide as my sofa cushion. I have had other cushions that were only as big as your bottom and they were not very comfortable. This one is nice and wide with plenty of room. In addition to being very firm. Makes it perfect for me. I also bought a cover for it from Amazon, so I'm not sitting directly on the spongy material. I would recommend this 100 times over.

This product is great, also made in USA,I’m wheelchair bound and I couldn’t afford a special cushion I need it’s $400.00. Instead I bought this cushion and I’m so happy and a lot more pain free.

I refurbished an old foot rest with foam that was too soft and replaced it recently with this foam. It made a tremendous difference in the comfort of the foot rest.

Purchase this upholstery form for a project that I was doing on vanity bench the 22 x 22 square was perfect and the 2 inch height was just what I was needing. I received this foam very quickly and was pleased with the delivery and the product.

I've bought this foam twice. First package was cut in two places on each side of the foam. The second package had discoloration and a tear that was visible thru the shrinkwrap. I will not purchase again

I bought this for a needle felting mat and I covered it with a thick felt, it's standing up just fine.
