I have never done a screen replacement before and was a little anxious about doing it right. This kit made it so easy and provides everything you need. Judging by the amount of material and rubber gasket I could do a lot of rescreens with this kit. The instructions are clear and simple. Just lay it out over your frame and leave an extra inch around all sides. Start in one corner and the roller puts the lining in with ease. Then use the other end to fully tuck it in. Then use the included blade to trim off the extra. Easy peasy. Took me about 10 minutes my first time as I went slow. 2 tips: use your free hand to put a little tension on the screen outside the frame to keep it taught as you roll in the gasket on the opposite sides. This helped prevent any wrinkles. Also, angle the blade toward the frame when making cuts around the gasket. It cuts the extra screen cleaner.

Finally fixed my sliding screen door with this kit! So easy and it turned out great, no sagging screen, its black screen and it looks great. I used my old spline from door other was to small in diam. Glad all the tools came with it and easy to follow instructions. No more dragging it out somewhere to get fixed and having to wait for it and paying a fortune to fix it. Took me about an hour, I never fixed one before and I was shocked to see how easy it was to fix. Would definitely buy this again,well worth the money!

I am 70 years old, well short of 3 months. This kit came with everything that you need to install. I used for screen door. Had plenty of everything needed. Actually was quick, and kind of fun. Wow, I love it when a plan comes together successfully.

So I put this up, I guess it was kinda easy but I sure was sweating bullets bc of my anxiety. I was putting pressure on the screen after I finished and the spline was slowly coming out. I don’t know if it’s the right thickness but I hope the animals of the house just don’t go right through it.

First, Idecided to order the black screen instead of gray like I was replacing. Glad I did. The black looked much better and enhanced the door odor. The kit arrived fast and had absolutely everything you need for this project. Even a cool little tape measure was included, that my wife claimed immediately. The roller is a must-have tool that the task can't be done without. The only pieces that did not work are the clips to hold the screen to the frame during installation. They were too big to secure on my thin frame. But, I wound up using "chip clips" from the dollar store and they worked great. The process is easy, as long as you secure the mesh to the frame first and get the slack and wrinkles out first. Then, just a matter of pushing in the gasket cord with the roller. One thing, use a separate cord for each side. Do not try to use a single, long piece, going around the corners. It won't work. Simply cut gasket to length at each corner instead, using four pieces. Also, the screen is thin and can tear (which I did once), so don't stretch too tight. I highly recommend this kit. Great seller, great kit and a fair price.

Everything you need to replace a screen. Bought to replace an older aluminum screen that our 80 lb. dog kool-aid manned through. She tried it once after the new screen was in, and it held. And cheaper than your average home improvement chain. Great value!

I am not a handy person, so this project took me about two hours (first time doing this). The spline that came with my kit was too thin for the channel of my patio door so i just used the existing one that held the torn screen that i replaced. i like that the kit came with everything you need to do this. i didn’t use the clips. the rolling tool is essential. the hardest and most painful part on the fingers is pushing the spline into the channel, but worth it in the end as i’m very happy with the result. the grey screen is a lot nicer than the previous black one i had. it almost looks like there’s nothing there. all in all, very satisfied with the product and tools that came with it.
