After more consideration, I replaced my head joint cork (Emerson ELD; sterling silver; open hole; b-foot). The cork was drilled to the correct diameter to fit hardware. It needed trimmed and sanded, which is to be expected. The replacement was an overall success, however, not all the necessary materials are included in this kit. If you're replacing your head joint cork, make sure to purchase wax, as well as have some sand paper, razor knife, and a tuning rod on hand.If you have your flute completely disassembled, the head joint alone, whether open or covered, plays a concert A. This is helpful knowing, when making final adjustments to your head joint cork.

A great kit. Love the leak light! It even came with thin foils for gauging pad leveling.Very nice especially for the price.
