I was surprised that these are real cork instead of synthetic thing but I guess, the synthetic stuff is much harder to finish up the proper size. These are "great corks" :-)How to install: take the old cork out - push it down, through the top with a wood stick, towards the far end. The headjoint and the corks are tapered so, it won't come out through the top.Remove the screw (unscrew it), do NOT use pliers to hold on the screw either.Install the new cork on the screw: grab your power drill, and slightly "bite" on the screw with the new cork; even better, roll some masking tape on the screw to prevent the chuck from deforming the threads. Now take a piece of #150 sandpaper, glue it flat, or just wrap it around a flat small board and lightly sand the cork with the drill spinning it.Use a wood stick to push it "up" the head joint through the end FAR from the opening: it will be alright when you can see the stick through the blowhole. It should be tight that you have to apply quite some pressure to make it slide further. At that point, remove the cork, using the wood stick through the top side. Then rub a thin coat "cork grease". I didn't have any cork grease, but instead, plumbers silicone grease - that is used in faucets, so it's pretty safe.Push the now greased cork/screw in place: it should slide more easily past the blow hole now and you can start final adjustments.. it will be a little hard in the begining but will work great.
