I guess no actual flute player has gotten around to designing and selling a completely useful flute swab. This one is nice and works well on 90% of the instrument. Like most of them. Where this one fails, like all of them that I've found so far, is that it does not address the last bit of the bore of the flute head joint, the part between the embouchure hole and the tuning cork. No swab that I can find, including this one, will swab the moisture out of that last inch of bore. All they would have to do is cover the end with the absorbent fuzz and they would solve the problem. But as of now, this one is no better than any others I can find.

I have been lazy and not bothered drying my flute after playing using the silk swab. I got this and it’s the bomb, quick and easy and does the job.I do recommend for a quick and easy swab of the inside of the flute after playing

This cleaning swab fits tightly into the flute sections and does an excellent job of cleaning the moisture from them and the pads. I have three high end Pearl flutes and play in the professiol neo ce!t-goth band 'BOGSTONE'. No way i would trust these fine instruments with any c!eaning swab of lesser quality. Two thumbs way up! Cheers!
