Mine came in a hard case with two batteries and in the case is a place to store two spare batteries. Also included is a wired thermocouple that plugs into the IR Thermometer. Much nicer that my last purchase some 15 years back from Fluke.

I’ve had this for awhile now. It hasn’t had any issues. It has the ports at the top for the thermocouple, also (didn’t come with thermocouple though). I like it that I can get a general temp with the laser and a more precise temp when I put on the thermocouple attachment.

Some of our equipment is 50 stories in the air and customers like to use weather forecasts and temperatures on the ground instead of at the site of equipment. This enables me to get a live right to the second shot of the temperature. Worth it for any mechanic.

Great thermometer. Use it daily and has been accurate and holding up great. Exactly what you expect from fluke. Does not come with temp probes.

A bit expensive compare to much cheaper clones that have many more functions like a setable emissive figure. The fluke only has low/medium/high settings. The winning feature for the fluke is the option for a direct t/c connection.

This product performs as advertised and is easy to use. Thanks for some of the reviews by others and an added supplement by Fluke, the centigrade - fahrenheit switch location was made easy to find. I've used it on mobile A/C and heating systems and am very satisfied with it's performance and plan to use it on other systems.

Nice overall unit. The IR readings are fast and accurate. If that’s your primary use, you are good to go with this device. The included K Type Thermocouple (KTC) is, in a word, terrible. Capable of VERY inaccurate readings, you need to be super careful to wrap it super tight. Reading out temps on my boiler, for example, it wanted to tell me the hot water coming out of my boiler was 125 degrees...when the boiler temp read 180... and touching the pipe I can tell you it sure WAY more than 125. Repositioning and retightening the Velcro gave me readings, slowly, in the 170s, which maybe I can believe. If you’re buying this unit and you really need the KTC, up I would reconsider... and if you’re not sure what I’m saying is accurate, read the reviews of the Fluke Velcro KTC accessory here on Amazon.I gave up and spent the extra $160 on the pipe clamp KTC, which I can use with this unit and gets great reviews. It’s a darn shame Fluke would include such a crappy KTC.

Great product, never fails and is very accurate... but fluke has always made a great product... I use it everyday as I am a welding inspector.

This is a better unit than my previous unit, which was less than 1/2 the price. You get what you pay for: this is remarkably accurate with a narrow focus zone. You can adjust it for differences in emissivity very easily, which is the only way to get a proper reading for things like glass and reflective metals, etc.
