A hardened boron steel hook features a toothed head and sharpened tip that bites into bark for a secure hold. In addition, a compact hook profile makes it easier to access a log's base. A sculpted handle includes non-slip grip and a flared end for improved comfort, enhanced control and insulation against the cold. Plus, a durable holster simplifies storage and transportation.

It’s handy to keep for unloading truck bed of firewood. Especially on damp days or rain.

Sharp out of the box. Just wish it was a little heavier. Really gotta swing it to stick in hard wood.

I have a lot of fiskars products and am happy with all of them. Not this one. If you only cut pine or softwood you might be ok. Doesn’t work with hardwoods. At all. I got the log tongs for a little more money and they work amazing. Just buy those for the extra money

Quality is there, but isn't very useful for any logs over 6~7 inches diameter, and iffy on logs with loose bark (think cedar, juniper, etc...) Bought to help maneuver/rotate logs to slip on a winch cable, didn't find it useful for that. If the hook was bent to a better angle or the point extended another 1 or 2 inches, it would be a great little tool, as is I can't recommend and wouldn't buy again.

Still getting used to using it but it is easier than trying to turn a log by bare hands.
