YONGZHI's light weight fishing reel rolls fairly smooth. Just the right color and weight for a custom pole. Easy to install and no lag time with the line. So far so good. Will on the lake next month and edit post if needed.

Great reels for the price. I purchased these last year and was happy with their performance. I just ordered four more in different sizes/colors. They are lightweight and well made. Smooth reeling.

This reel has absolutely no business being so nice. Why pay 3-5x for name brand when you can’t get parts for them either and Amazon cheep-o’s last just as long.

I bought the reel because I liked the color that matches my boat and fishing shirts. Little did I know that it casts really great and reels in big bass and has a great drag system. I was totally amazed due to the low price in comparison to other brand names I was able to cast all day and reel in fish after fish with no issues at all. in fact I am so thrilled with the price and quality I ordered 4 more, so I am going all green with my bass boat the “Green Machine” dont really care how long they last at that price.

When the spool is at it's top point the bail hits the drag screw and will not open. Took it for a ride 6 hours up north only to find out its unusable. 6 hours back home now have to return it.

I'm a Baitcaster user no if ands or buts . This has its downside , that being they're harder to get a good cast in some scenarios because of the method needed to cast . A spinning reel (also known as open face reel) is much more relaxed in how you cast with it . This makes casting near trees and limbs easier and more accurate .This being said , the ponds and creeks I frequent are difficult to get a good accurate cast in and I'm tired of catching trees instead of fish but I don't want to spend a bunch of money on something I might not use very often so I started looking at spinning combos . This brand seems to be loved or hated with nothing in between . That got me intrigued and at the price I thought I'd take a chance because I really like the look and the size . I put it up against my favorite BFS baitcaster combo and a Shakespeare micro 5'6" Piscifun Flame size 500. This one is on a rod that is the same as the Flame is on . I spent today at a pond comparing the 3 and I must say this reel is worth well more than what I paid for it because other than its looks the thing reels back in so smooth except when bringing in a fish . At that point the 10 pound braid rubbing against the bale roller was kinda noisy . Noisier than the drag , which worked flawlessly and not annoyingly loud , btw. The other spinner has a louder drag but the same 10 pound braid made 0 noise when the reeling in under load. This isn't a deal breaker by any means , just worthy of noting for those thinking about this model of reel . They both cast about the same distance . All 3 reels were loaded with 10 pound braid and I switched the same lure between the 3 choices to get the best verdict for myself .There are no papers in the box and the only documentation on any kind was an exploded view on the box cap . Again , I just wanted to pass that info on. The Flame came with the same type of diagram but on a paper inside the box .If you want a super budget reel that'll be more than adequate for light casting duties this is a very good looking reel and worth looking hard at .

July 7 2021 Update: The company reached out and after some support discussion sent me a replacement reel. Can't state if there is a difference in quality yet, time will tell. Support from this company however is above my expectations. Set to fish with the replacement reel this week and will update in the coming months. Updated rating to reflect the well above average support provided.*************Older Review:This initially appeared to be a quality product. Smooth reel. However I used it once, never having abused or had it touch water, just some simple bank fishing. Three months of storage in a climate controlled environment. Went to use it today, and the mechanism is so rusted inside it will not turn. Finally broke it free, and it grinds as if I had disassembled and put sand int he casing. The screws for the casing are rusted. Obviously every corner that could be cut was. Nothing is rust proof. Do not let the initial observation fool you. Longevity of use is not going to be there for this reel which cam branded as a Sougayilang rather than YNGZHI reel.

i did not expect to recieved as small as this even a half of my old reels, description on sizes totally misleading costumers and i wont belive the maximum drag with this 18 kg as i even reeling it with line i can feel how heavy if i tried to put even half a kilo on the line.totally waste of money.

PROS The reel arrived around 5 PM so I spooled it up with 30 pound braided line and a 12 inch SS leader.I live right off the ocean.I bagged a 27 inch blue and it fought hard but this reel was super smooth from the time the fish took my bait until I landed him 25 minutes later. It has a button you push in and the crank folds up.The only other reel that seems as good is the Kast=King but also cost just about 45% more then this reel that has 1 extra feature,m(FOLD UP CRANK)OK my con has nothing to do with any thing or part of the reelI confused because it says (YONGZHI) but the name is (SOUGAYILANG)SOUGAYILANG has some darn good fly reels and I think I have 8 from 2017 and and their so smooth and yet you still cannot feel any play in them. This YONGZHI is going to be a keeper and Blondie, who is a nurse, with those tiny smooth fingers said YES, this one seems to shoot that line out.She uses a 2 piece UGLY Stick. She made 3 cast and fell in love with it.The bail works smooth, the drag is super smooth. When word gets out this reel will be flying off the shelvesTime to see what they offer in a good rod
