First of all, I have to say how much I appreciate the size of this bag. It's large enough to easily fit a large stack of 8.5x11 papers. You can fit quite a lot of paper work and other important documents in it.These bags always provide a decent amount of peace of mind. I can't exactly test it(nor do I want to) in a house fire scenario, but was able to test it for waterproofing. I let it sit in a plastic bin filled with water for about a half hour, and all of the test papers inside remained dry.The bag is a little tacky, and has a tiny bit of an odor to it, but it's not a huge deal. Functionality is what matters most with these, and it seems to be pretty good on that front as far as I can tell.

I like that it can accommodate standard 8.5" x 11" size papers without folding, since that is the size of many legal documents. The outside feels tacky and greasy/oily at the same time, which is typical of things made of silicone. The inside looks like foil since it's aluminum coated fiberglass. The rubberized zipper feels smooth and does keep water out.I held a lit candle lighter to the outside of it for 15 seconds and there was no visible damage at all. Not sure how hot a lighter flame is but I know it's over 1000 degrees. This is by no means a real world test. If a fire is hot enough, it will melt just about anything.I also put the closed zipper under running water and not a drop got inside. Again this is not a real world test, like being hit with a fireman's hose. It's a nice bag and worth a try for some fire/water protection of valuables for the under $8 price.

Thick, sturdy material that does have a little tack to it.The zipper looks to be a really well sewn fully waterproof one, and it’s probably a little bigger than I anticipated but still fits well inside a safe I have. Will safeguard some of the typical important docs and a few flash drives well. Seems great for $10, but should note it has a slight smell when you first get it.

This document bag is fireproof and waterproof. The fireproof is good for housefires, but the waterproof is good for when they try to put out the fire. I had completely overlooked this before when thinking about safe storage for my house. The last thing anyone wants to worry about is a fire, and protecting important papers, like birth certificates, passports, and financial docs was something that crossed my mind. In the event of a fire, the only thing I want to worry about is getting out, but at the same time, I don't want to lose docs that I can't easily replace. This fits the bill for what I'm looking for. It has enough room to fit my kid's birth certificates, diplomas, financial docs, passports, and even more room for things I'll add later. I'm doubling this up with an extra layer by putting it into a fireproof safe. The bag is well constructed and has a silicone layer on the outside, and a silver liner on the inside. The zipper even has a silicone seal. The bag seems well built and and for the price, I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for peace of mind. ($7.99 at the time of this review).

This fireproof bag is thick and sturdy. I really like the way the zipper closes. There is no seam and you can tell it is very waterproof and appears fireproof based on the interior. I don’t think I’m going to throw it in a fire to test it out but I feel that my important documents are safe in this. I will use it to store my passports, certificates, etc and easy to grab if we need to evacuate. I am very pleased with this and think the price provides value. Well made product.
