I mostly use this pole floor to ceiling. That takes some getting used to and you'll want a magic eraser b/c it scuffs the ceiling, but overall this is such a great tool for anything you need to easily raise and lower a laser to do. I use it often for tiling a sheetrock.

I’ve only used it this one time but it was great. It’s wobbly at this height but settles down pretty quickly.

This product is highly beneficial for laser users, offering an effortless setup and maneuverability. It is a valuable investment that I wish I had purchased sooner. The product features robust aluminum pole sections reinforced with a spring-loaded bottom, facilitating simple and rapid assembly of various projects. This thing is great for your lasers, easy set up and easy to move around without hassle. Wish I would have bought this years ago. Strong aluminum pole sections with a nice spring loaded bottom to make easy and quick work of any project.

This tripod is a godsend for any installation tradesman who works on his own. The construction of the tripod is on the lightweight side, but it comes in a really sturdy bag and being light, is easy to stow in a van. Time and time again, this tripod has enables me to produce work where the straight lines and obvious professionalism were easy to achieve, with care; and no-one would dare challenge my competence. Many tradesmen self-promote their abilities verbally, using 'male-bovine-droppings.' With this tool, and a decent laser level to sit on it, you will not need to say a word. The lights across the front of my 'local' can be seen to be dead-level from half-a-mile away. By using this tripod, I have possibly enhanced the reputation of this hospitality business. Being a bit 'oldy-worldey' maybe I should have run them more erratically? Now, that would have been difficult.

When I got this stand, my plan is to use it for my laser leveler. I have since used it for other things, like elevating my dgital recorded to higher height. This is useful if you ever wanted to capture video at your kid's sporting event and wanted a higher viewpoint of the basketball court. It works fine for this purpose as well. As it is modular, you can just use what ever sgements required to acquire desired height. It is also very sturdy, more so than a regular camera stand.

I just got it and tried it out.No, It did not break yet but I cannot rely on this extremely flimsy mounting bracket. I know plastics have come a long way but this plastic feels like those decorations and figurines you put on cakes and food. It is so light it almost feels hollow. The pin that holds the bracket on is so small, I might even have to carry a paperclip with me to replace it if it breaks on site. Holy crap.. what has happened to integrity? If it costs $5 more to use a better plastic and better pins to assemble this bracket that's going to hold a very expensive laser then for goodness sakes do it and charge me that extra couple of dollars giving me a product I can rely on!In the bag that this unit comes with I have already equipped it with JB Weld, duct tape and some silicone grease. I'm sure you can figure out what the JB Weld and duct tape is for but a lot of people are complaining about the threats locking and not being able to remove the poles from each other. Before I even put them together I felt the threads and they are very rough cut. I started screwing them together and felt them grinding and trying to bind so I removed them and I took some stainless steel wool, wrapped it around the threads and rotated many times to smooth them out just a bit. Once I assembled it it was a lot smoother and didn't bind. I took it one step further I put a little bit of silicone grease on the threads which made it perfect. The tripod is very cheap and flimsy but I think it's going to be okay as long as I don't accidentally bump it.In conclusion, this is a very overpriced item based on the quality but unfortunately nearly impossible to find a better quality unit anywhere on Amazon that does this.I'm very disappointed and very concerned that simply having it in my work truck, it will somehow get damaged before too much time passes.

So I had to replace the first one the first day I used it. But the second one is holding up pretty good I used lubricant in between sections to prevent seizing. I use it several times a week. I love the tripod. Comes in handy when you don't need to go to the ceiling. Overall a great buy for the price. The carry bag is light weight and is falling apart and that's kinda a big deal but not a deal breaker.
