When I took this out of the box I was impressed with how heavy and robust it appeared to be. Unfortunately, the weld on the hinge was broken. I’m hoping the replacement had better quality control and will hold up.This is not light weight material, if the welds were better it would be 5 star.I’ll report back.

Oddly enough, I bought this to stand up around my floor return air vent. Our older cat, just out of the blue started peeing down the return air vent. I ordered the biggest/longest fireplace screen I could find and it's a little short but has managed to keep her from getting over the cast iron grille and firing away. Cleaning the urine out got real old, real fast. This screen has helped solve the problem. She's blocked from access.For anyone who is looking for a fireplace screen for an actual fireplace, it looks pretty and seems to be made well.

This product and its delivery fulfilled every expectation. It came a day earlier than the projected delivery. It was fully constructed and ready for placement right out of the box. Other reviewers mentioned its sturdiness. For a more concrete assessment it is 13.8 lbs. (6.27 kilos) and is secure in its upright position. There is no need to worry about accidental tip overs. Its 48 inch span covers my fireplace well, though I wish it could be a bit wider to protect the sides. That is as close as I can come to a criticism. It has a rustic stylishness that fits its purpose. I am very pleased.

This fireplace screen is much better looking than I thought it would be. I measured my fireplace and looked at about 40 screens within the right size range before picking this one. It does the job of keeping my dog from getting too close to the first screen. He was laying so close at times that I thought he would get burned That's no longer an issue with this new AOL creen. Oh, and the screen comes fully assembled.

I bought the fire screen to protect my Christmas tree from our new puppies! It does a great job and I like the look it provides. I can even keep presents safe from puppies by putting them behind the screen. Well worth it!

This fireplace screen arrived packaged quite well and in just two days! It by far exceeded my expectations! The pictures do not do it justice as it’s against a black marble hearth and surround. The reason I bought this is that I don’t like the look of the ventless gas fireplace and I wanted to keep the dog from nosing near the flames. What I got was an unexpected bonus. The fireplace screen adds a degree of finish and sophistication to the fireplace and really makes it look expensively complete! What I’m wondering is why I waited so long to buy this! Great value and very sturdy! Highly recommend!
