I love this. My old one rusted and fell apart. I guessed on the size and it fit. Thank God ! It was a little complicated to put together but it’s good quality.

This screen is heavy and durable! Worth the money. We are using it for a screen on our burn barrel. we got a 23" for our 20" Barrel

My old screen was going on a bout a year with heavy use. It was separating from the frame. This one had ssitional framing and doesn't appear it will have this problem. Very nice quiality...you will have to assemble it (4 sections).

I bought a fire pit in August of 2023 which I use to burn off scrap wood. It is always protected from the weather. The fire pit has held up well but the fire screen lid started to burn out after just several uses and was almost completely useless after a dozen or so. This replacement screen fits perfectly and is obviously much heavier duty than the original, so I hope it will last a lot longer.

Very happy with this fire pit screen. Was nervous to order since we had ordered another one that also came in pieces which did not fit together well and was wobbly and uneven, so we returned it. This one, however, is perfect! Went together very easily - only took a few minutes to assemble - and all the corners matched up to make it fit nice and flat on the fire pit!

Picked this up on the BF sale and it is working great on my Bali 22 inch fire pit.Rests on top like it was made for it. Stops the large embers from flying out. Good solid weight, and a strong lift handle included for easy opening when needed. I recommend this spark screen for the bargain, weight, look, and functionality.Yes (as others also noted), the hex nut assembling is a bit tedious, and it doesn't sit perfectly flat upon the initial assembling. But I found this minor based on my above mentioned, and compared prices.

Screen arrived promptly, no issues. Made sure to have all parts on hand and no damages, no issues. Read and followed the instructions, which had the tools included to do the work, no issues. Put together promptly, no issues. Covers the pit we bought it for, no issues. So basically...no issues.I bit more than I wanted to pay, but seems pretty good quality and sturdy so, a fair trade for my $. In the end, a solid purchase and yes I would recommend to others.

Got a burn barrel, needed a screen to keep down sparks and ash. Burn barrels tend to be described as 22", but they're really 24". Got a 24" spark screen and it was a perfect fit. Assembled fast and easy, get yourself a set of Allan/hex bits and a drill to speed up the process, just be sure to start them with the included wrench, just a little crooked and you will strip the head of the cheap screws. Thankfully they include an extra screw, nut and washer. Put together in 15 minutes or less. The box was beat, but the contents were fine. No sign of rust, everything seems to be properly coated, but if you're concerned hit it with some high temp black spray paint. Screen looks sturdier than most out there, the mesh doesn't look like glorified window screen. The center ring and paneled design adds rigidity. Looks like it should hold up for a while.

I purchased the 22" version of this to replace the cover that came with our fire pit.The gauge of the original mesh was pretty small and was not destined for long because of that factor.Although we kept the fire pit and spark screen clean and covered when not in use and kept it from the rain and water, the screen that came with the fire pit did not last long before there were holes and corrosion to the metal. It's been a couple of seasons and it was time to make a change. It was a hard decsion to invest $30 -$40 on a new spark screen instead of upgrading the fire pit, although in the end, the pit is built well and is a good size for our patio. We like it's size and design and its durabilty so ith that in mind I decided to replace the spark screen and went huntng on Amazon or options. I would have liked a (thicker) larger gauge mesh in stainless steel, although going that route, the costs start to become extreme and I didn't see the value for our size pit. I decided on the "22Inch Fire Pit Screen Cover Outdoor with Handle&Poker " shown here. This comes unassembled as (4) major pieces to cut down it's footprint and effect on warehouse space and shipping size which is understandable. All four pieces need to be assembled to each other using 12 machine screws which fastens each structural lip to the next section in three places each. This is a typical China manufactured product where the threaded holes that receive the screws are tapped, tubing, welded "perpendicularly" onto the structure. Being typical of this type of China product the word "perpendicular " is used lightly in this review.Another reviewer used the word "tedious" describing the assembly.I found that to be fairly accurate and a good description in my own experience. As a guy who has been in manufacturing, manufacturing design, engineering, fabrication, and development of mainly metal products for over 35 years, the assembly of this thing was a real pain in the @$$ no matter how I approached it.At the end, you are pretty much reliant on using the hex key an manually fastening the components together. I tried several types of bits, power drivers, 90 degree drivers, etc. to see if I could speed the assembly up. No dice.I found the best way to do this was line up a couple of panels roughly, put a few screws in , leaving them loose and continuing around the panels once you have all for panels attached to each other. At that point, you can start tightening them up and creating a rigid dome structure. The biggest issue is that there is very little room to get the hex key in the screw along with the lineup issues with the matching threaded portion. There's not a lot of room to rotate the hex key, so it takes a while to get it seated. The ball end of the wrench generally allows for quick rotation and installation. This was not the case with this. With the small size of the hex key and screw, it's not a great or effective process and there is a lot of wasted effort and time getting this assembled.I found cutting the hex key down to about a quarter inch long worked much better and provided the right amount of leverage on the screws. (see pictures) These hex keys and the screws they supply are fairly soft and the hex corners round off fairly quickly. If the thread fit was aligned and more accurate, the hex key would be fine, although that is not the case as you really have to torque them to get them fastened. Thus the corners get turned off/out fairly easily. If you have your own hardened hex keys, I'd advise you use them rather than the one provided. All in all, I got it together as best it could be as supplied.I would have liked the arcs on the outside circumfernce to line up better, although it just wasn't possible the way these panels were manufactured. (see pictures)I feel the design intent is pretty good and structurally sound when assembled as it's fairly sturdy once you get it all fastened together. The quality of the manufacturing process and execution could be better to have a better assembled product in the end.Maybe there is better attention to detail on the other sizes of screen offered. It's definitely better than the one it's replacing as far as structural integrity goes, so I will use it.The "poker" it comes with leaves a bit to be desired for lifting the screen using the ring handle on top as the weight is a bit more than the formed wire can handle.I hope this helps in your quest for a spark screen cover.
