The fire pit I bought only came with a solid lid. I was able to locate this item and gave it a go! Assembly was easy - they even provided all tools necessary. The long poker makes it safer when handling the lid over open fire. Poker also folds in half for easy storage. The screen is as sturdy as the frame. The price is in line with the quality of the product. Great product!

Bought a new firepit at a yardsale but the spark screen was missing. This one fit perfect & looked nicer than original. Easy assembly!

I was worried that this product might be flimsy or wobbly. Instead it is very heavy duty. It was a bit difficult to assemble but once I got it all together I was impressed.

Easy to put to gather, but does require a little bit of technique. Once together its very sturdy and seems to do its job well. No more scares of embers flying! My one complaint is no matter how many times I have tried to re-adjust the screen does not sit "perfectly" flat. Its flat enough for embers to not get through but visually you can see the small gap. Oh well, price is right, it does its job, and seems like it will holdup in the long run. I recommend it!! (admittedly I am a little OCD about things lining up, still would not hesitate to recommend or purchase again!!)

If you are thinking of buying this, don't. It is a piece of crap. I am an engineer, but I will tell you. The screws and welded nuts do not line up. The welded nuts are not secure and spin while trying to secure screws. The screw heads strip even with allen wrench. The heads of the screws are almost impossible to get to while trying to hold the screens together. Overall this proc=duct is absolutely terrible. But so it goes with crap from "you know where".

Parts don’t line up so perfectly. 2 of the screw inserts popped out and I can't tighten the screws. I did successfully assemble it and it’s useable. It has a black coating but I’m still going to paint it with high heat exhaust paint before use. Original cover this is replacing rusted pretty fast.If you don’t like challenging, possibly frustrating assembling problems this might not be for you. But….. I did make it work.

As noted in the pictures, the box with the actual hardware was damaged but delivered in a larger Amazon box. All the pieces and screws were available and several surface scratches were noted.Assembly is a little challenging and it’s best to apply the screws with a few twists, align/adjust the screens, then tighten at the very end. A second pair of hands is helpful when putting the two larger halves together with the six screws across. Once put together, the screen looks nice and functionally sturdy. The screen itself is not collapsible and perhaps it should not be described as such. The only thing that’s collapsible is the poker included. The finish needs at least two or three coats and may not be rustproof. I’m not sure how long it will last after several uses over the fire pit or the summer weather in Florida. I plan on investing in a $7 can of Rust-Oleum high heat paint and add 2 coats for good measure. For the price, I would’ve liked to have seen no scratches and a better finish on the screen itself.
