You can’t go wrong! I’ve used this in conjunction with the 12mm tool shanks of various configurations with no issues for about a year now. I use this on a 1956 10” South Bend and cut material from annealed tool steel, stainless to delrin.

The company listed as support will not offer any assistance for this product. Instead they will tell you to look up the product on Ebay for any help!!! The tool is very nice, we'll build but I wouldn't buy again from this company

I stuck it in an Atlas QC 54. Machined down the T nut to fit and had to machine down a small portion of the compound slide to sit flat and rotate. Every lathe is different. Very happy with the quality.

This set allows me to do some pretty non standard stuff like fixing the post in a milling vise and feeding stock vertically from a quill mounted 6" 3 jaw Chuck.

You will need to modify the mounting post to fit an individual lathe. In my case I made a new post to fit the cross slide T slot. I also made a handle and put a bearing to allow the tool post to be locked in place with very little effort. I also milled out some of the toolholder to fit larger tools. In summary if you are able and willing to do some work this will fit almost any small lathe.

To mount this tool post on my jet lathe, I had to mill about .125" off the top of the cross slide to lower the tool height...also cut down and studded the new center mounting bolt onto the existing tool post bolt. Installed some inserted cutting tools and now I cant belive the finish on on my work!!!

All in all a good product. Repeatability isn't perfect. You get a small error from switching tools. Very sturdy though.

The wedge mechanism is a little sloppy. While unscrewing the tool post to accept the tool holder, the wedge separates from the worm drive, making it impossible to mount the holder. I learned to guide the wedge so that it sticks to the tool holder surface so that I can mount the holder to the post. I also have to file the burrs and sharp corners. But, they are well made and solid. You cannot go wrong with the set unless little things bother you. In that case, you have to spend a good $500 for a production tool holder set.
