Got this for a tiny project I came up with and it works great. Hopefully it holds up to justify the higher cost because I don't think this could be sharpened like regular, flat carbide blades.

These babies do cut, but then again they cut VERY aggressively. Have tried it on ash and purpleheart and even with minimal movement or pressure, it made precise beads. The ash had quite a bit of tearout on the beads but purpleheart not so much because of it's density. Tested on a maple spindle and tearout was more pronounced. Will keep doing projects with it, but for softer woods I think I will go back to my cheap HSS beading cutters to minimize potential tearout.

this carbide beading tips is very well made and works extremely well. It definitely adds flair to my pens I turn on the lathe…Easy wood tools is definitely the best when it comes to wood turning tools…

This specialized bead cutter head has the best design I've seen. The negative rake allows for great control. Points are deep enough to get a good bead--had others go too deep. And it fits on mid or small EWT handles (or equivalent products from other brands).While it might not provide the ability to resharpen as much as a dedicated beading tool, I'll take the simplicity and convenience offered here. Plus I don't have to buy an entire new tool for different sizes.
