I'll be 70 years old next year. I'm very fit since I've worked hard at it for a long, long time. I wanted to accomplish the following at a minimum:- Isolate shoulders- strengthen forearms- strengthen grip- portable equipment I could travel withThe Rotator Machine checks all the boxes and engages abs, back and related upper body. And, the fittest man on Earth, Mat Fraser - 5x Cross Fit Games Champion calls this his secret weapon, check out his video. I bought the 12lb and the 8lb.The 12lb is a beast. I use it in front of me and lower for arm work.. The 8lb is no joke, I use it raised and overhead for shoulder work. The 18lb is likey too much for all but the biggest arms out there. You'll exhaust your muscles very quickly,Build quality seems excellent. Fit and finish are impressive. Get one...or like me, two.

Great resistance, strength, stretch & tone device. 8lbs is enough for this 70 year old grandma. It has improved my upper back stretch extension and released stiffness. Love it!!

I am using these daily with dumbbells and martial arts training and they really build muscle. I saw online that The Detroit Lions weight training program and The Worlds Fittest Man both include them in their workouts. You do have to search online for the best exercises, but to me they're great. I only use the kind with resistance because that was part of what I want them for, building up punching power. I would think any boxer or fighter would gain from using them regularly.

The thing is not bad when it works. It lost resistance on one side which makes it useless. I tried to contact the seller but didn't get any solution. Now it's an expensive paper weight. It's a shame. Wanted to love it. If it worked I would love it. Meh. Waste of money.

Be warned, if you dial up the resistance this is a truly challenging workout. It's not just a whimpy product for novices. This is the real deal, and with the proper resistance setting it can fully exhaust your shoulders and arms in less than 1 minute. Repeat 3 or 4 times and you're going to be cashed out for the day.You can also dial the resistance down and use this for warmup (which is what I do). The different ways you can use this are great to keep forearms and wrists strong and preserve mobility.I would buy this all over again. If fitness and strength are a part of your life, then I would highly recommend adding this to your workout equipment, especially if you want a lot of value from something that fits in a small space.

I have had bilateral frozen shoulder. It blows. I don't wish it on anyone. The left was first, and I went to PT for that but it was late in the development and mostly resolved by the time I went (though limited range of motion remained. The right followed it and I had experience so I knew what was going on...the sharp stabbing almost burning ice pick sensation deep in the joint that radiates out, and no stretching seems to stop. This thing, especially the "rolling punch" gets the joint moving and has kept my shoulder from going into deep freeze, and seems to be returning some ROM in both. Granted, there are certain stages of adhesive capsulitis during which this device is far too heavy to be used. I feel like the makers would do well to offer it in a lighter aircraft aluminum version and supply weights that can be stacked into the "arcs" between the wheels for this rehab purpose. I am keeping it as a maintenance for my bum shoulders...and with its tank-like build should last me the rest of my life.
