Rugged, well-built 2'W x 2'D x 2.5'H personal hobbyist laminar flow hood with top of the line HEPA14 filter (which alone costs half the price of this whole unit). Thick sturdy aluminum tube frame brackets fit together with triple corner aluminum brace brackets. Side and rear walls enclosed with thick patterned vinyl, fitted initially by double-sided tape then secured with aluminum strips along all edges for air-tight seal. Each strip has 4, 5/32 holes for punch screws; you will need to drill matching holes (48 of them) into the frame, hammer the screws to start, then tighten with an impact driver. Watch out for tiny metal shards produced from the drilling that need to be immediately vacuumed. The vinyl is needed (instead of, say, thin aluminum sheet siding) to allow for enough light to enter the box for working. The inner working table dimensions between frame edges are 20.5 x 20.5 inches (x 27.75 inches high). A battery operated LED light can be fixed to the inner upper frame on 1 to 4 sides against the metal frame for an adhesion surface sized 1.5 inch x 17.5 inch on each side at the top. Included instructions are almost useless; I was able to get in touch with a helpful representative from the company who gave me some guidance and photos on assembly, the latter which took me a total of about 6 hours. ( I was told they plan to release a 4 foot wide version soon). Despite these minor drawbacks, this is a quality product in an affordable price range for the home tissue culture, mycology, or electronic repair hobbyist. Recommended.
