I was excited to test out this new aluminum body and boy did it not disappoint. Built like a tank and buttons felt solid. Display was typical Feelworld quality which isn't bad or good. Unfortunately the fan is way too loud even at its lowest setting (1-5 speeds). Especially if you are mounting an onboard mic it will most certainly pick it up. I really wanted to like this monitor because it comes in at a great price and is built to last but I cant recommend simply because of the loud fan. If you are not recording audio then maybe this will work for you.

A 5.5 inch monitor that gives you a bunch of high end features, touchscreen display, and an aluminum housing for an amazing price. I have this monitor on my overhead rig while using a quick release plate on one of the 3 included 1/4 inch threads. The display is bright and very accurate with its color and I feel confident in recording what I see from there. It’s super slim and comfortable to have on a camera rig or how I have it on a magic arm. Features HDMI in and out, USB-C for power but also takes a NP battery which comes with one included. There is also a case that comes with extra cables and to store the battery, the spot for the monitor is a bit too large in my opinion and when closed you can hear and feel the monitor move inside the carrying case.Tapping the screen for brightness, volume and even navigating the menus are some of the easiest and best I’ve used so far. From false colors, built in luts, and even viewing different aspect ratios helps when creating vertical content from long form video. I also love the battery being centered as it adds a bit of stability when docked. My only gripe is it does not come with a monitor hood but it is bright enough for indoor use and just enough for outdoor if you’re not directly in the sun. This has been the best monitor I’ve used at this price point for sure.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around all of the additional features this monitor has, but so far it’s been really great having the larger screen attached to my video rig. The screen is well built with an all metal chassis, the buttons feel good to use and the cold/hot shoe mount also works well enough, although I did replace it with a more robust aftermarket version. It also came with a carrying case which is much appreciated and large enough to fit in the cables and accessories. Battery life has been really solid using the included battery but I really dislike the attachment and locking mechanism the battery uses. The lock is very stiff and often gets stuck and dealing with attaching and detaching the battery is just something I dread doing. Thankfully, the monitor has a great picture with really good viewing angles, excellent brightness and a crisp resolution. The touchscreen also works quite well and makes using all the additional features much easier. I didn’t have any issues using it with my Lumix G9; it was recognized right away and video automatically routed to the monitor, so that’s a plus. I usually only use the histogram, but there’s a ton of other display features available that I’m still exploring, so I can’t comment too much on them other than to say it seems to have just about everything. There’s enough picture adjustments that I can get the white balance and general color tones to match my camera’s LCD display, so I was pretty happy with that as well. It’s really transformed my setup and made a huge difference in readability compared to the significantly smaller display my camera has and I’d urge anyone on the fence about an external monitor to just give it a shot, and considering I’ve had zero issues with this model outside of the battery lock mechanism, I’d recommend it to anyone interested.

I purchsed this to use with my FX30 when recording sports videography. I tried using my phone previously, which was ok, but I didn't love having my phone battery drained. I upgraded to a dedicated monitor and I'm thrilled with the decision. I really like that the monitor shows the camera's UI. I use the built in level feature to keep the camera level while recording. I'm happy with this size screen. It is light and easy to hold. I was concerned about this because I'm often recording 2-3 full basketball games. Overall it came with everything that I needed. I've been really impressed with the battery life. The battery has a small usb-c port witha. usb-a cable that can be used to charge it. The carry case is really sturdy. The HDMI cable was also a good length.
