The Febco Bronze Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventer Assembly is specifically designed to prevent the reverse flow of high-hazard (toxic) fluids found in the water from contaminating potable water systems due to back-siphonage or backpressure, meeting the stringent requirements of national plumbing codes and water authority regulations. It is constructed with a durable bronze body, ensuring long-lasting performance and compliance with industry standards and is equipped with threaded quarter turn ball valves, angle union connections, test cocks, spring-loaded Y pattern check valves, and a hydraulically dependent differential relief valve. Also included is an integrated flood sensor compatible with SentryPlus Alert technology, that works to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve and sends an alert to notify personnel about potential flooding.
This assembly is suitable for a wide range of applications, including water services to industrial plants, hospitals, morgues, mortuaries, and chemical plants. It is also used in irrigation systems, boiler feeds, water lines, and other installations where maximum protection is essential. Designed for easy maintenance, the assembly is inline serviceable - with a modular relief valve and check vales - and requires no special tools, streamlining maintenance procedures and minimizing disruption to operations.
