Bought to set up a home natural gas generator feed. Worked perfect to lower my gas from 2 psi to 1/2 psi. If you are working on a similar set up, keep in mind that this only lowers the gas pressure, you will still need to purchase a separate regulator which stops the NG gas flow when the generator shuts off, as well as allows you to prime the hose and get the gas flowing for starting the generator.

I used this one to replace a regulator that after adjusting it to max that wouldn't allow the grill to get over 350 degrees. This one needed a half turn and it is perfect for any temperature range you need from 0 to 600 searing temp.

What's with the "Sheerness" rating? This isn't ladies hosiery. Anyway, nothing bad to say about this product. I installed it a month ago and my gas log fireplace is working great. The old one was causing the fireplace to shut itself off. After I had replaced every other possible part of the fireplace, I still had no success until I replaced this. I had to buy some adapters but it was no big deal.

Use to drop gas pressure from 2psi at meter to 1/2psi for your appliances. My house already came with this regulator but it went to a splitter with several lines split connected to it. I installed a T fitting before the regulator, and used the old water heater line to run the higher pressure gas down to the same closet, where I used one of these to drop it back down right before connecting it to a new tankless heater which required the higher throughput of the shorter regulated gas line. If you're buying one of these hopefully you know what you are doing or hire a professional to assist.

This (maxitrol 325-3L) regulator is exactly what I need for my natural gas weber grill. Knocked off 1 star because the seller has very little technical info on page. I just went to the maxitrol website to make sure it was going to work for what I needed. Regulator specs: 1/2" pipe size, 250,000 Btu/H, Max inlet of 2 psi, Outlet pressure range: 7-11" water column. I also bought the vent protector for mine since it was going to be outside. Maxitrol recommends it for outside installs. If water gets down in the vent holes for the standard vent it comes with and freezes it will damage the regulator.
