This product seemed to be very high quality. It failed within a week of use. I replaced it with a slightly more expensive option by another mfg. and it has been running for months.

I ran a set up of two of these through a 1000' of Cat6a and a 4k camera on the end. Tested against another camera on less than 100 feet. Could not tell the difference in display. Works great!UPDATEI deployed 5 camera setups with these on mountain property, the longest is over 930 feet. They still work great.

These work great, but you need to be careful Purchased these to use for a long run to a security camera outdoors. they worked perfectly for a month, then stopped working. Seller replaced without issue and then worked again. I will say it certainly seems waterproof, and works right away easily. But i think there needs to be a bit more awareness about how to protect them in a setup. It is likely a surge could have killed mine, but it is not really clear from the beginning that this could be possible.______________________________UPDATE:Seller reached out to me immediately after this review to resolve this issue, and offered to assist in making sure my setup was correct and replaced the item with support and guidance on making things right to protect against future issues. I believe this seller really wants to make things right and stand behind this product, so I have updated my rating. The product works, maybe there just needs to be a bit more information about how to avoid issues with the setup. thank you

I have a couple of these that I used to extend a POE Reolink video doorbell and POE Reolink dual camera over 600' away at my gate. Simple and requires no power, just plug it in and it worked! Pretty awesome to have real cameras connected and recording 24/7 that far away. I did have a minor issue and customer support was very responsive and got me going again very quickly. Definitely worth it if you want security and peace of mind.

We had a problem with one of the patrolling security camera's not working correctly using PoE. This extender did manage to fix the video feed dropouts but not the issues with rotating the camera (which requires a substantial amount of power). A passive extender can only do so much. While it can amplify a signal within limits, it can not generate power out of thin air. If you do not have enough power coming in, you will not have enough power coming out. If you need a substantial boost in power you will need to buy an active, separately powered, extender.

I am very happy with Joe from FASTCABELING. I tried to mix products and it would not work. I have 24 Swann PoE cameras and 3 Swann older NVR-8700 NVR recorders. I have 750ft from 3rd Swann recorder to router in house. You cannot with POE injector connect cameras to NVR at house. NVR must be left in barn 750ft from house. Cameras must be connected to NVR and NVR Lan port to #6 uplink port of aPoE/PoE+ network switch. (see pictures)From Long Range PoE port #1, cat5e or cat6 cable goes 750ft to house. At house a PoE Extender and a PoE splitter is connected to cable from barn and then to Lan port of router. Swann said it would not work. On port 5 of network switch I connected a Wavlink 1200 Repeater and its WiFi signal reaches house 750ft away. Picture with laptop is WiFi and shows many cameras. I didn't include all cameras because some are private. Without Joe from FASTCABLING, I could not have done this. Very, very happy with FASTCABELING products and there help. Thanks, Bernard
