I gave this to my teacher friend as a gift. She teaches first grade. She sent me this message today: The security camera you gave me looks so real even adults think it is real! Our custodian has been stealing from different teachers’ closets, and they caught her on the hallway security cameras, but I noticed today that my fake security camera was turned around… So I think when she went to clean my room, she turned it around because she thought it was real🤣🤣

The fake camera is very economical and easy to install, as long as you can use a drill and a screwdriver. The cleverly designed cameras look real. The blinking red light on the camera gives the impression that it is real. The 2 batteries that are used lasted for at least a year. I installed my cameras under the eaves around my house. I ordered two, at first, and one "died" because I did not change the batteries early enough and corrosion on the battery terminals occurred (My fault). I have ordered more cameras to supplement my Amazon Blink real cameras. If you cannot afford rev cameras, these are a good idea.

I wish it would have the option of being on a stand so that it could be placed easily at my front window. I screwed the base into a piece of wood and bought a security sign from amazon that sits right next to it. Serves its purpose. It doesn’t need the battery because it doesn’t need to flash to look genuine.

This camera is HUGE!!! It looks very very FAKE. With todays small, incognito cameras, this thing is hideous.I will be returning it.I personally wouldn't recommend it.

I have had the camera for about 3 years. Bought a new one after battery connection rusted Fixed it so did not use the new one. It had a very visible red light. Was easy to install. Batteries last a long time. Only problem was batteries did not fit tight so I would lose the connection. So minor adjustments fixed it. Batteries are easy to replace You can direct the camera where you want it. I think it is a good value I didn’t want to add another ring camera due to location from WiFi I have by the garage where my car is parked You can actually see it blinking from down the street. I think most would be thieves would not take a chance on being recorded. My daughters house has an alley way at the end of her backyard. I think mounting the new one pointing in that direction will discourage someone in a car driving by to find a quick breakin opportunity. Looks real Reasonably priced Sturdy manufacturing. Easy to install. Good design copy. Easy to change batteries. Has a visible blinking red light. I am fully satisfied with it

Not much to dislike as it’s a real looking camera. Bought to make opportunists think twice.

Security cameras are necessary to potentially prevent and or catch malicious mischief on or around your property. However, often times it is simply the *threat* of a security camera that can deter a criminal from any action. Hence the use of a dummy camera!I purchased a dummy camera after a recent spat with my neighbor over a property dispute. He made a few threats against my person and property, and I sought out a solution that might deter him from committing any action. Obviously if something occurs I will have no proof due to the use of a dummy camera; however, I wanted to at least attempt to prevent it from occurring in the first place.I opted to purchase this dummy camera because of the cost and because it looked like the real deal. It looked like it would be easy to mount and would get the job done when I needed it to.The unit comes with one security camera, three mounting screws and plastic wall anchors, as well as a decal saying “Smile, you’re on camera.” The camera is solid in design as it is made of sturdy plastic. It has a sliding cover that moves out from the camera to protect it from the elements and also add a look of realism to it. Finally, the blinking red LED makes it easy to see that it’s “recording” any passersby.I was able to install the unit in about five minutes. I recommend unscrewing the swivel head that is connected to the camera to give you a clear shot of the mounting holes to secure the screws. Once you’ve done that and mounted the arm, you can easily re-attach the camera with the screw. Then, you are able to reposition the camera at nearly any angle that fits your needs. In addition, there is a rubber “wire” that comes off the back of the camera with a fourth hole in the center of the mounting bracket. I used this hold to stick the “wire” into so that it looked like it was wired into my home.I have received two compliments from neighbors already that this unit is a great addition. They do not know that it is a dummy, as I want the perception to be that it is real.Overall, I love this dummy camera and recommend purchasing them if you need to deter malicious activity on or near your property. If you have neighbor issues, perhaps this could also help as I hope it does in my case.
