Trailer camera

Safer travel for your horse

The Equine Eye horse camera is your ‘eyes and ears’ while transporting your horse providing improved safety and peace of mind. It is the most advanced wireless float camera on the market with around double the battery life of most wireless cameras.

The sleek, wireless cameras are magnetic, so no installation is required. The camera comes with a mount for trailers that do not have metal within. They can easily be re-positioned from inside your float to act as a reversing camera. Engineered with a suite of advanced features including night vision, motion detection, and audio capabilities, our camera guarantees comprehensive monitoring even in the darkest of conditions.

The camera connects to an intuitive app on your phone, which means you simply position the camera on your horse, turn on the app on your phone, and you have a live video link. There are two versions of the app available; one for iPhones and one for android.

Horse camera

Have a BIG truck or Gooseneck?

Wireless cameras are great for standard car & trailer hauling set ups, but if you have a really long truck with living infrastructure you may prefer our 'Universal' camera for additional features and stronger connectivity. See the chart below for a feature comparison.

You'll be impressed with the features

hauling camera

Many cameras on the market come with Chinese phone apps which are clunky. Not to mention non-existent customer support should you have a problem.

Equine Eye uses an Australian designed app, and has a support team based in Australia who provide prompt and friendly support should you need assistance setting up your camera.

Trailer camera

No signal needed.

The camera creates a hotspot for your phone to connect to, which means you do not need phone signal to operate the camera.

We don't travel far with the horses, mainly to our local arena for barrel racing. This trailer camera was very easy to setup and figure out how to use. It's definitely a peace of mind to have this while we are on the road. Very good picture quality. Works awesome for our needs.

This thing is perfect! My largest horse hates the new trailer we bought and it worries me to leave him in there when I can't see what's going on. This is a great solution to that. It was super easy to set up and offers a really good, wide angle, so I can see pretty much the entire interior of the trailer. The monitor is small, but still clear and very easy to see what's going on. It works perfectly and gives me peace of mind to see that he's just being a baby about the trailer, not in any real danger/injured, etc.

There are 2 main issues that seem to affect this, in my opinion. Limited range, and limited battery life, which is pretty limited to 8 hours (limited for something like this, anyway). It's my belief that the small battery necessitates a lower transmit power to keep battery life reasonable. A bigger battery would give better capacity and thus more available power to increase Tx output. It's probably why they offer this with a solar panel as well. But as it stands now, once you reach a certain point (which is affected by line of sight somewhat) it'll start to drop out, simply because it doesn't transmit that far.One thing I find odd is the complete lack of reviews at the Play Store, despite 1000+ downloads. If you're close enough it works ok, but the less between you and it, the better. And keep the 8 hour battery life in mind. I would honestly recommend trying the solar version instead of this, because then at least you wouldn't have to stop and charge this if you're on a long haul. But if all you do are short hauls with short trailers, this version might work for you. I suggest making sure you get a good signal by trying it when you get it.

Helps us with piece of mind that the horses in the trailer are safe while traveling down the road. One con easily overcome is that we were not able to run GPS on our iPhone and the Equine eye at the same time on one device. We always travel with multiple devices anyway so problem solved.

Got it working pretty easily, but had to have a hot spot, or wireless in car...it worked for just 5 minutes, then went out, I was barely out the driveway. Too bad, I have been searching for something that works!

Hauled horses from Arkansas to New York. Only problem is only 8 hours of battery time. Had to stop to recharge
