I love these things. You get an intimidation factor without spending a ton for real security lights. Lights last about 6 months.

Cheap feel & look of a Chinese unit. Camera needs a sensor that turns off the blinking LED light during the day, batteries would last twice as long. If you place these up high as recommended, it becomes a chore to pull out a ladder to replace batteries.

These dummy cameras are just what we needed to deter people away from our chicken coop! We had guys trying to steal our chickens and these cameras have definitely served the purpose of keeping thieves away!! They look like the real thing!!

It’s definitely not motion detected or have night vision as it’s a “dummy camera” I had to use 3M adhesive strips to hang because the inside of my window seal is concrete and I could screw a nail in. Plus the screws are very short so they just fly off when you try to screw them on. I live in an apartment complex with a few punk kids and un-trustworthy people running around so I put this in my window with the CCTV sticker provided faceing my back door, my portion of the yard and my car so people think my items are being watched and I’ve not hand any problems with people messing with my stuff... so it’s obviously doing it’s job, unless that’s just a coincidence.. but I’m pleased with it. I wish it had a solar powered (charged during the day) red blinking light that would flash at light so people would see it better at night. I got another that for the front porch, I’m going to screw it to a small white painted 4x4” and 1/4” thick board so it’s actually screwed on and I bought the 3M tape that I’m gonna use for the back of the board, or either locate a hammer drill to drill the board to the brick up between my apartment number and porch light so I can leave my porch light on and people will see it, once again I wish it had the blinking light so I didn’t have to keep my porch light on, but I may also buy a motion detection light to hang beside it so when it comes on they notice the camera, and I’ll put that CCTV sticker on my door on the top part that’s glass, so nobody messes with my landscaping, or steals from my porch..

I would recommend two things:1. Place them where someone cannot get a close look at them, or easily access them.2. Make sure it is not in an extremely windy place, because it will get messed up.It is constructed with plastic similar to what you would expect on a toy. The "sun guard" on top is detachable, so you can remove it if you want, but this is also a bad thing because it comes off fairly easily and has to be snapped on just right for it to stay in place.It looks fine, so it should serve as a basic deterrent, but remember that this is not security monitoring and if a "bad guy" really wants something, this will not stop him, nor will it help you prosecute him. This is best used as a deterrent in a low value area. For about twice the cost of these you could get a basic security camera that actually works.We use this as a loitering deterrent and conscience trigger on a road behind our business. There is not really anything of value out there, but in the past some teens have found it a nice quiet place to come park, smoke, dump trash, etc. We paired it with signs that notify them that they are on camera.

Fairly realistic, but compared to real cameras these are on the large size. Good quality for the $, recommended.
