Composed of durable heavy duty brass, this outside lawn spigot is equipped with 1/2 inch Male Inlet Pipe (MIP) x 1/2 inch Male Hose Thread (MHT) connections, and compatible with copper and galvanized piping. The outdoor hose bibb is designed for irrigation purposes only, and not intended for potable water use.

I had to replace some old valves in the basement and chose these. I am satisfied with them and they are not dripping after installation. Another reviewer said they are serviceable, and although I did not take one apart like he did, I would agree with that from what I see. They seem to be well built, and rugged enough. The two downside comments I have are: 1) They are small, in comparison to the old ones I removed. This creates some issues when twisting the valve open. Senior citizens might have issues twisting the small tap top. 2) The valve takes a lot of turning. This is both a good and bad thing. If you need flow control it is good. If on the other hand you want on or off, like a washing machine, it is a bad thing. They are pretty to look at, and I am completely satisfied with the product.

These are nice for the price. I needed to replace one at my house and ordered 2 (1 to install and one to keep as a spare). They arrived quickly and I ended up installing both sine I found another another that. Needed to be replaced. They are made of brass and are easy to install.
