It’s unfortunate that the FLIR brand, which is the same ownership is half the price and these are made so bad. I’ve had at least three of these. Go bad working next to the RJ 45 cable. It will split internally right there. It’s a weak spot. But on the RJ-45 connection, it’s a different wiring schematic compared to the flare brand which FLIR bought Extech

These break to often. For a few dollars more you can buy a better pin probe and it will last longer. The plastic is cheap. They need to make a better one.
