Very good and fancy I like it and I would highly recommend it. It has got close to accurate results depends on how you place to acquire the readings. It worked for me in most of the occasions when needed. I would highly recommend it, very fancy looking and very functional as well. The built quality is fantastic.I like it and would give it 5 stars.

This is a little moisture meter that works exceptionally well. As a new woodworker, started to check the moisture content of wood before starting a project to prevent future movement. I live in a moist climate and all of the wood outside the meter accurately detected the internal moisture, but not the ones kept inside for a couple years. In addition to woodworking, I’ve used this meter to check drywall and other areas that looked wet, and it performed perfectly. It’s a versatile and reliable tool that gives me peace of mind, whether I’m working on furniture or assessing potential water damage.

I already had two pinless moisture meters before ordering this one. The pinless ones are for buying lumber at the box stores (so I don't put holes in their wood), and I was hoping this one with pins would give a more accurate moisture content reading. The pinless meters are within 2 ½ % of each other, which is encouraging. I don't have a way of measuring the accuracy of moisture meters, so I did some comparisons. I did 4 readings on one board three times. The two pinless ones were within 2.5% of each other (4.77% & 4.83%), but the Kereinpo Pin Type Moisture meter gave an average reading of 10.56%. That is a big difference, and I don't know which is more accurate. I noticed that there were many fluctuations when taking readings, sometimes ranging from 9.6% to 11% - that is more than a 10% difference. It doesn't mean the meter is less accurate, but it does make recording measurements more difficult.I like that there are 8 different settings for different wood types, but it means keeping the instructions to find the corresponding setting and knowing the wood species. For example, I was measuring Ash, but there are three types of Ash — American, European, and Japanese. I wasn't sure what kind of Ash I had, but I picked American since I am in America. There is also a feature to measure building materials, but the instructions do not specify details, so I am unsure how to use that. All in all, I cannot determine if this is more accurate than the pinless meters I have, but I still find it a useful tool. I gave it three stars because I am unsure of its accuracy, and to use it properly, you need the instructions, which will eventually be damaged, lost, or both.

This is a small, lightweight digital moisture meter with multiple modes that is convenient to have on hand for multiple uses like checking for moisture in walls, moisture in firewood, etc. The moisture meter is easy to use following the included Instructions. I would consider its design to be pretty basic. The front of the moisture meter has 5 buttons on it which include a button to power it on/off, a button to switch the temperature to read in either Celcius or Farenheit, a button for the Mode that is used to set it to either read moisture in wood or building materials, and there are 2 buttons with arrows on it that are used to select the type of wood when the device is in the Mode for reading moisture in wood. To note, the manual included with the device has a list of different types of wood and what option should be selected on the device which I find very helpful. I find the buttons to be a good size, easy to push and easy to see in the light however the buttons do not have a backlight which I wish they did as they can be a little hard to see when I am using it in my dark backyard to check firewood at night. The front of the moisture meter also has a digital screen that lights up green and displays the % moisture value of building material, moisture value of wood, temperature, moisture value, battery life, what mode you are in and the wood type selected if applicable. I find the screen to be a good size, clear and easy to read. The manual included with the device is also very helpful to familiarize yourself with all the information capture on the screen to ensure you are reading it correctly. There are also 3 small lights above the screen that light up different colors to indicate the moisture level (green being low, yellow being medium, and red being high). At the top of the device there is a cap that is easy to remove and stays securely in place when on. When the cap is removed, there are two pins that are used to stick into the surface of whatever it is you are measuring the moisture of. I have used this moisture meter on dry wall as well as firewood and found the pins were easy to insert into these material and did not have any issues with them bending. Also I was very impressed that I was able to puncture the pins into my drywall and they did not leave any damages. So far I find the moisture reader works as expected and have not any issues with it. To note, it runs on 2 AAA batteries however it does not come them so you will need to have your own batteries on hand to power the device. I really wish the device was rechargeable for convenience and to save on batteries however this is just a want and not a big deal. In regard to the battery life, so far it seems to have a good battery life. I put 2 fresh batteries in it prior to first use and have used it multiple times for a just a few minutes and the battery life on the screen still shows as full. Overall this is a small, battery operated, moisture meter with multiple modes, an easy to read digital screen, it is very easy to use and so far works well my needs.

This is a great little moisture meter and seems to work well. I am a wood worker and it is nice to check moisture content of wood before building things out of it so you can verify there won't be very much movement. I live in a very dry climate and all my wood has been in my garage for a bit so all the wood I tested was reading at zero mosture but in order to verify that it worked I spared down a piece of wood and let it soak in and appear dry on the top and tested it again and it read the mosture that was in the wood. Overall it's a great little tool and now I can be sure that I am using dry wood with my projects!
