A bit of a smell. Doesn’t detract from purpose. Warm. Not going to test fire retardant. Just like basic training blanket.

This wool blanket is warm, and thin.! We are unable to use it due to smell and shedding even after multiple washings and deodorizing! Don’t even consider it! We actually ruined the washer due to the fuzz shed!!

I bought this for wild camping. Military/heavy duty style. I have not used it yet but is is good quality and true to its advertised size. Looking forward to trying it out. There's a slight smell from it but nothing that remotely bothers me.

Aside from being durable this blanket is large and very warm ,keeps heat in and is soft to the touch after I washed it 2x (once with very light soap second time w/no soap only water) when I first received it , yes the water looked very dirty but of course it was just the dye washing off .I am very proud with my purchase .

its massive, I'm not even 6 foot but if I was, its still big enough, in my case doesn't smell funny like others say its a bit thin but still vary warm, vary packable, if your looking for a cheap wool blanket to take camping that you can roll up without it take up loads of space, then this is for you

This was the first "Wool" blanket that I bought for my winter cloak project. The wool is soft, the build of the blanket is consistent and of great quality and it did not shed AT ALL!Using this product, I was able to make a cloak that was so well made...a customer bought it off my back as I wore it. It was a cold afternoon ride home, but the sale was worth it.When I went to buy another of these blankets, they were unavailable...and remain so, unfortunately. So I purchased another"Wool Blanket" from another vendor...and it has been a disaster. That blanket is a biohazardous trash-quality piece of garbage that should have stayed in India where it was made.It made my whole family itchy and congested just from trying to work with it.That piece of garbage went into the trash where it should have stayed.I will source a materials in-person for my next project. Amazon can't be trusted for health-safe purchases.

There is nothing to dislike about this blanket. A slight odor out of the package. I did not wash it but I ran it through the dryer on delicate with 2 fabric softner sheets. Hardly any lint or fuzz in the trap. I like the fact it is NOT bulky. Folds up into a small package. I bought this for my star gazing on the patio nights but it ended up on my couch. Well worth the money, I highly recomend it.

Good quality wool blanket. Not smelly, especially after washing. I washed cold, gentle cycle, and ran it in the dryer for awhile on low to fluff it a bit, then finished drying outside. The lint trap did have a lot of wool in it, so I would avoid washing/drying it unless absolutely necessary, but it does soften the blanket and make it less "greasy" feeling at the beginning. Totally normal and acceptable for a raw wool product. The blanket isn't super thick, but nice and warm and fluffy enough. For under 20 bucks, I'm very satisfied - enough that I bought a second one.

Good survival wool blanket for the price. When it got to the house, my wife didn't like that it smelled heavily of chemicals. That is the fire retardant. I washed it once and let it tumble dry and the smell was all but gone. Only problem after that is the material pilled up and there were lots of little green fuzz balls everywhere. But if you lint roll it well, that goes away. After one wash, the blanket was very comfortable and not itchy at all like you get with wool. It is a perfect camper/car emergency/outside use blanket. Good size too. Would recommend.
