Nice, compact unit. The only shortfall (and aspect which surprised me) was the need to plug the unit into an additional, outside power source. I just presumed that the 1 HDMI feed into 2 HDMI ports would derive all needed power from the attached HDMI plugs/wire/PC's already connected. This seems odd to me (considering USB and HDMI technology).

I have a wireless mesh network set up across my house with a wired backend. The wired backends have ports in each room but I don’t have a mesh network puck in one room. I saw an opportunity to wire both my TV and Apple TV directly to the wall with this ethernet splitter and I’ve noticed full performance at 1 GB/s upload and download. Each port on the splitter has lights indicating the status of the connection and the device itself takes up a small footprint.

Doing some new things where I need my desktop as well as my laptop pretty often. Couldn't really find an internet splitter at first. This one did what it said - it allowed me to run a main ethernet cable to my office from my modem, and then split that line into 2 separate lines, one for each computer. Now, if you've been messing around with this stuff like me, you know that most of what you ca find will allow you to have internet on both computers, but it will essentially only let you connect one at a time. This splitter allows both computers to be connected at the same time. That's important, not only for me, but for my wife if she needs to work in the office with me. Because the home office is on the far side of the house, the wife connection is kinda weak. This allowed a nice stable connection, which is all I care about lol! Thanks

🌟 Quality:The Uzifhdhi Ethernet Splitter is a well-built, compact device with a sturdy plastic housing. It feels durable and has a simple, discreet design that fits well into home or office setups. The inclusion of activity LEDs for each port is a helpful touch for troubleshooting connections. However, it doesn’t offer a wall-mounting option, so you’ll need to get creative if you plan to secure it in place.⚙️ Functionality:This splitter performs effectively as a 3-port Ethernet switch (1 uplink and 2 output ports) and delivers up to 1Gbps speeds. It’s an ideal solution for splitting an Ethernet connection in scenarios with low to moderate bandwidth needs, such as connecting a PC and a game console, or sharing a connection between an IPTV device and a computer. While it does require USB power to function (USB-C cable included, but no adapter), this design choice allows it to maintain consistent performance and reduces latency. The splitter also supports streaming and gaming without noticeable lag, making it versatile for home use. However, keep in mind that it shares bandwidth across devices—ideal for moderate usage but not suited for high-load scenarios where full gigabit speeds are needed simultaneously.💰 Price:For the price (around $28), this splitter is a great value. While you could purchase a 5-port unmanaged Ethernet switch for a similar price, this device offers portability and simplicity, which can be ideal for specific use cases like travel or small spaces.🏆 Overall:This Ethernet splitter is a practical, portable, and reliable solution for splitting a wired Ethernet connection. It’s easy to use, compact, and performs well for most home and office needs. While not suited for heavy-load networking or users needing multiple ports, it’s perfect for anyone looking for a quick and effective way to share a connection between two devices. Highly recommended for moderate bandwidth users or those needing a portable networking solution!

We got this splitter to use with our home camera security system. We have been connecting it through Wi-Fi but wanted to use the full available bandwidth. This little splitter did the job flawlessly. It's quite small, which works great for our space and didn't detect any drop in speed compared to direct connection to the router. It's made with hard plastic, not steel but the construction quality seems solid. It does not offer the option to hang it on a wall. If that's something you are planning on doing, you will have to use some kind of command strips.Overall, if you need an inconspicuous and low profile splitter, this is a great option.

I was in need of a solution for a splitter for two poe cameras and everything i tried conflicted with the network or the nvr. This was the answer. I was able to connect the two cameras to it and they are working like they should. This is a small super fast network adapter for the price you won't get anything better or as nicely built. Connectivity was as easy as plugging it into a USB adapter outlet and then to the cat 6.

WE do not use wifi in our home for medical reasons..As such the whole house is wired with lan cables....WE emply a lot of unmanaged switches to distribute the internet to many different rooms in our home. This Rj45 splitter is helpful in that it creates an extra connection to the network/internet when we had run out of options and no longer had space left on any of the switches....Specifically, in one room it enables the connection of two separate devices like a laptop amd a pc which was very useful for us.

For the asking price, this is a simple and inexpensive way to share a single wired ethernet connection between two devices. Many years ago, well prior to fast wifi, I wired several rooms of my house with Cat5e ethernet for my computers. I only put two drops in each room and recently have found myself lacking in on room where I have both a wired PC for my wife and and WAP with ethernet backhaul using the other drop. I also recently added IPTV service requiring a third connection and many times I want to plug in another device for testing. This product gives me an easy option to split a connection between my IPTV and wife's PC. Simply plug the device into an open USB port on the PC for power connect the main feed from the router into one side and the IPTV and PC's NIC into the other side. No setup required, it just works. Speed tests on both the PC and the IPTV device show the same speeds as before and they both work fine.Keep in mind you are sharing a single ethernet, in my case 1GB connection to the internet or wherever your source is so dont expect full 1G to each device in every instance, especially under full load but I have not seen any degradation from normal, pre splitting use on either the PC or TV side. This works perfectly for my use case where neither device has continuous high bandwidth usage requirements, but I would not use a splitter in any scenario that did anyway. For 99% of all use cases, especially in the home, I would think this inexpensive device would more than do the job.

Not exactly sure why it needs power to split. Back in the days I swear they used to make these and they needed no power, just a connection. Anyways , perfect to split our Ethernet connection from Starlink to the ps5 and the our security camera hub. Works well and doesn’t lag.
