It’s small and easily hidden out of view. Works great! Great value, for the cost. Much cheaper than a second access point with my internet provider!

this took one ethernet feed and turned it into one ethernet feed. did not split. included a c to usb but no wall plug. which was fine as this was in the description. got connectivity lights incoming and one side outgoing, but would not power up the other outgoing port. does the job of a simple coupler, but requires power so not even as well as that.

There's not a whole lot to say about this Ethernet splitter. It works exactly as described, and it gives me another Ethernet port to use from my existing wire. It is simple to set up and I verified that it's an actual switch by doing a speed test before I installed it and then after I had hooked up my PC and the second device to it.

This comes with quick instructions, a little USB cable and the splitter itself. To use it it does need to be powered. In one instance I just powered it by the computer's USB port when I was testing and setting up multiple computers and in another instance I used a spare USB transformer plugged into an extension cord for the USB cable to plug into.Looks like a good caliber of device, it actually has a metal case and every port is labeled well. Each network port has an LED indicator for traffic, as pretty much everything has.A quick speed test seemed to show that it indeed does seem to be able to do high bandwidth gigabit traffic - I didn't thoroughly test this with specific software for testing network speed but a quick transfer of large files seemed to indicate the high speed worked well.I haven't had this long but have used it a number of times, including in conditions where I was moving it around a lot and once or twice may have banged it against a few things while moving cables and have had no problems with it.In addition to testing some large files just for a speed test I have used it for setting up a new computer and transferring data to it, as well as remote desktop connections. It worked perfectly for each and right now is bridging two long network cables that I needed to temporarily connect together. It does the job and does it well, and would be good I think; for permanent installations as well as testing and temporary use and good to keep in your network tool case too.

This ethernet splitter is just like the switch it replaced - with exception that the old switch was only 10/100 bandwidth! My access point (gigabit ethernet device) and one of my media players (also a gigabit device) were choking on a 10/100 connection and I was experiencing poor connections & frequent buffering. Not anymore!Using a standard USB charger (5vdc-1200mA) to power this device, I inserted it in place of a dated 5 port switch that I had been using. Port activity indicators are present on each of the ethernet ports - the input & two outputs - so I can see that my data traffic is indeed making it through to the devices aforementioned.A dramatic improvement to be sure. This device is awesome at it's price point! I'm glad I found it and even happier that it cured my 'low throughput' blues.Get one of these, don't hesitate - it does exactly what it claims to do...restore full gigabit data transit to your network. Two thumbs up!

Works absolutely great! I had one Ethernet line upstairs but needed two. Now I have two ethernet lines with the splitter. Testing with Speedtest I have no absolutely no loss in speed - up or down. It's 300 at the line in, it's 300 at both lines out.It requires a 5v USB power source. It comes with a cable but not the little power adapter. And the USB cable was a little too short for my needs. But no problem. I have a bag full of USB adapters and cables. Even if I had needed to purchase them they are cheap both here on Amazon and at Dollar GeneralOne of my better purchases.
