These ShineNow tips wont hold up. They wear out even when proper care procedures are followed. For example, tinning the tip before use and tinning the tip again after use when you turn off the power. Turn off the power switch and quickly put solder on the tip before it cools down.I'm disappointed and that is why I just bought these from amazon.ca Wolfride 5pcs ET Soldering Tips Replacement ETS 0.4mm for Weller WES51 PES51 It has a full five star review.

Well you can tell that this is a third party. These tips feel so close to original that I'm super excited for my Weller w e s 51. It might work for a few other similar units but I can't speak to that. Great customer service from the seller obviously fast shipping and really high quality for what you get. Since I work on small electronics I won't use some of the bigger tips necessarily but still more than worth it.

I wanted to give these tips some use before I wrote a review so after about 2 weeks of every day soldering I’ve concluded that these tips are excellent. My first tip is still in use with no problems and it’s been holding about 750° all day every day since I got it. These tips are direct replacements in my PES51 and perform exactly the same as the original Weller tip. Not only do they perform exactly the same they cost less than half as much, which is really a pretty good deal since I go through tips faster than most probably do.Edit: It has now been over 8 months of use at 750-850° 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and my first tip is just now showing some signs of degradation. I’m pleasantly surprised how well they hold up and I will almost certainly be buying ShineNow brand again if I ever need to buy more tips.
