This paper texturing folder is made of thick plastic. It works well and makes a nice embossed impression of lines of dots in irregular lengths. It is multi purpose in that it could suggest party confetti, rain or abstract trailing dots. The best designs are simple, such as this one. It is for use with paper or cardstock and a manual paper die cutter/embossing machine with the appropriate platform for that machine.

Honey bees have been a very popular decoration element in the last few years. I have bee stamps, bee dies, bee stencils, bee scrap-paper, etc. I needed help pull all these bee items together. I needed a honeycomb embossing folder to bring them all together in a perfect blend of pieces to make a great card. This embossing folder is terrific, especially since it is a 3D embossing folder that makes a very distinctive well embossed honeycomb back ground. I can hardly wait to make my first card with this folder. I ran it through my machine to see how it turned out, and was VERY delighted at the very crisp embossing and it looked great.I appreciate the opportunity to try out this great embossing folder. I never expected to get this pattern for embossing. I make cards and was given something with a honeycomb pattern that I thought was plastic, to protect cards in the mail that have elements that stick out. After examining closer years later I realized it was embossed cardstock (face-palm). Anyway, I went searching for a honeycomb embossing folder and came across this one. It's actually more detailed than the one used by the other person. I've only used it on standard cardstock paper.
