I am a novice player so I do not know if there is a difference between a ball with one star and a ball with three stars. But these are working just right. Even if a ball does not break or crack, they should be retired after several hours of use. You will be able to tell the difference.

We have been playing with these table tennis balls on our office table for a few days and they work fine for us. I bounce tested them next to some Joola 3 star balls and they bounced the same. We also tested these with a bunch of different types of shots, speeds, and spins, and they played the same as any other 3 star balls we have used.

These balls are quite good. Good, consistent bounce, and they seem durable. My friends and I put them to quite a test yesterday evening, and they performed very well. They cost the astonishingly reasonable price of about five dollars, which is remarkable! Good three-star balls will normally go for three times that amount! If they do not last, I'll come back and update this review, but for now this is one of the better bargains you will find for table tennis balls!Recommended!

This is rated in the 3 star category of ping pongs and it really feels like it is deserving to be at this rank. I hope this isn't confusing but this is getting a full 5 star rating and the 3 star designation is just what its considered. That aside, these work great for leisure time where there is a long break after church service. This "serves" me and the other attendees well. The ball seems sturdy and made for a fun couple of games. This is great to use even for practice as it is in the highest bracket of ping pong balls, just like the ones at the break room.

These look, feel, and play like any other decent ping pong ball I've encountered. The price is on the higher end of the scale for ping pong balls, but it's not ridiculous. I think some of the price is due to the ESPN branding. I like the logo.

I don't have a lot of other balls to compare these ones with, but all six of them are bouncing consistently. The are smooth without any visible join. I can give them a good spin.

Smacked one of these beauties around last night and it worked just like you'd want it to. I'm not getting into the DHS 40+ *** TT balls because why compare. If you're starting out with an ESPN racket you're going to need some balls and these will work perfectly, as a ball should. These balls also work with non-ESPN rackets, so have at it.

3 star ping pong balls are the highest quality in official ping pong circles. Usually if you buy competitive balls they come out to this much. 3 stars means it meets standards for consistent bounce, durability, and make up to be used in official matches. These are competitive but fun balls. If you are in competition chances are they use 3 star balls but they may have an official sponsor. ESPN branding makes this even cooler. I am a fan of brighter balls but this white ball is great in style points.
