This direct connection cord does exactly what it's designed to do. I did have to cut the end of the wire that connects to the fuse box, but after that installation was a breeze. The cord length is perfect and was able to hide the wire completely. The cord is also much more durable than the OEM version.

For those looking too hard wire their escort radar detector to a fuse box or harness somewhere, this does do the trick. Material quality is average when compared to those I've used in the past, and the length is right to get you to where you're going. In my case it went to a harness going between the door and car.You may have to adjust the cable some depending on how you are securing it to whatever source you're connecting it to, But That clearly comes in no surprise. So it seems to deliver exactly on what I promises.
