Works fantastic for the price. I threw out the button it came with as it looks and feels cheap. Instead I ran all the wires through my dash and tapped into a wire that I confirmed gets a continuous 12v when the truck is in reverse. Now it only kicks on when shifting into reverse and kicks off when shifting into any other gear. Came with plenty of wire for my truck.

Be prepared that the picture quality could be better, but to see the scene behind the vehicle is good enough. With proper wiring the screen turns on when switching to R with a delay of 1-2 seconds. Keep in mind that it is wired, so be prepared that you'll need to run wires through the entire car. I did a clean setup and hid the cable under panels, took me a couple of hours.

It appears to be an easy installation process. You can activate it when you need it. I like the fact you can leave it on all the time if you choose. Time will tell how long this camera will last.

has a excellent picture, easy to see, easy to adjust. I some times leave it on when in heavy traffic, to monitor whats going on behind me. works out very well.

This unit was installed in less than 10 minutes total! Plug into power port, connect screen in cab. Run wire through existing hole under dash in firewall, along frame rail to rear bumper- mount camera on plate and connect to red nd of wire-DONE. In car push button on power port plug & screen comes alive! No hooking to reverse bulb wires inside tail light, or reverse fuse under dash. Nice cause I can activate camera even if I’m in drive to check behind me. I love it. Pictures clear and always well lit due to several lights that light circling camera lens. I absolutely recommend this camera (and I’ve had several through the years as a plow driver up north). Best by far out of all I’ve ever had for aftermarket installs.

I bought this brand because it had a good rating on line. It was really easy to put in. I used some split tubing for extra protection to the wiring. Just put the camera on my license plate. Used zip ties to attach wiring along the underneath of my truck. Used the small opening in the floor board to bring wiring into the truck. Plugged the plug into the cigarette lighter, voila push the button and I have a working backup camera. My husband was really surprised how wide the view was. Also how clear the picture was. Even drove it in some rain and spitting snow. Still great picture. Yes I am a woman, not a mechanic, yet I was able to install my camera within about an hour, including time to ad split tubing to the camera wire. For the price, ease of installation, great camera view.....this old Lady definitely recommends this back up camera.😁

I purchased this for my 2008 Ford Explorer. It has been installed for about a month now and is working fine. I give it a five star rating based on the combination of price, quality, and customer support. it works, and the color image is clear. It does the job and I feel much more confident when backing.Just a few observations. First, the instructions do not explain how to hook it up if you want to connect to your reverse lights to have it on it come on when backing up. It DOES include the wiring for that. I contacted customer support and they were quick to respond. Once I figured that out, it just took me about 90 minutes to complete instillation. Taking the panel off my back hatch door to complete the wiring was the most difficult part. The surface of my dashboard would not accommodate the suction cup, And I did not want to mountain on my windshield. But there is a small, recessed tray in the dashboard above the stereo with a smooth flat surface. I used the mounting bracket and attached it to that surface with Velcro. It also takes three or four seconds for the image to appear once the car is placed in reverse. A minor inconvenience. And initially, for just a brief moment, a stock image appears before the camera image. But for $40, I think it is a good deal. I don’t know how you can manufacture a color camera, color monitor, and wiring, then package and ship it for that amount. So again, the 5 star review considers all of these factors.FOLLOW UP: Six months later and it is still working very well. The image is better than the factory installed camera in my wife's six year old Honda Odyssey.
