They fit as per their size chart, unlike other half chaps I have wasted money purchasing! They are comfy and look good. Hesitated to try buying half chaps on Amazon after paying top dollar for a pair of real leather HORZE Drew Half Chaps and receiving ONLY ONE! This is apparently a more reputable company!

Got these for summer riding since I figured the mesh would be more breathable over my actual leather half chaps. While this is true, I don't totally love these...they are OK but nothing to write home about. The price is fair but you get what you pay for...these definitely look cheap but I have just been using them for lessons/trail rides.

I actually measured and was within the range that should have fit, but I am not exaggerating when I started to wonder if my calves had gotten bigger. Dubious. Err on the side of caution and size up. That said - this is a fantastic product. It is so great. My legs felt protected from all potential harm. These are the absolute wardrobe for any activity where extra care for your shins or lower leg are necessary. They are also great style-wise and I could honestly see going out wearing these with a skirt. I don't ride horses, so for me they will be used for other activities, like gardening in shorts where my legs night get poked real good. This happens alot when trimming my privet. I think these are very close to being as effective in that respect as half-chaps. But the material is beautifully thick while being breathable. Highly recommended.

The chaps themselves are nice. The material is comfortable to wear and there is a slight stretch to them. Zippers work easily and the snap at the bottom works great. Using the sizing guide, I ordered size large regular. I wear a size 8 shoe and my calf measures 14 inches. Floor to the top of my knee is 20 inches and floor to the back of my knee is 16 inches when measured from a sitting position (90 degree). I am not able to wear these chaps over my cowboy boots as there is not enough give in the material to fully zip the chaps closed. I can wear these chaps over my hiking boots if I do not use the strap that runs under the shoe. I can easily wear these chaps with low top shoes such as my tennis shoes with the strap under the shoe. So for me, the ankle area seems to be where the fit struggles. The strap that goes under the shoe does not seem to be stretchy enough for me to be able pull the chap up a little higher around my heal to get it fully zipped unless it is low top shoe. If I do not run the strap under my shoe, the chaps are a much better fit for me. Although the strap would be nice under my shoe, it is not essential to being able to use the chaps.I think fit will depend upon your own personal measurements. I do like the chaps and I will using them for hiking to protect my legs from ticks as ticks are pretty common in my area.

Admittedly half chaps are a very niche item. My guess is for Horse or other riders… Maybe cross-country bikers that want to protect their shins while riding while wearing shorts.However these were not very well-made. The material was a low-grade fake leather that made the overall product looking feel cheap. And the elastic bands used to secure them didn’t hold up very well either one of them actually started to rip at the stitching wow trying them on.Overall I wouldn’t recommend these.

These look very well made and the material is stretchy and soft. I got a large since my calves are a bit thick. These are true to size (I made sure to measure before buying). The zipper does zip top to bottom. The half chaps are definitely long enough as I am 5'9" and 150 lbs. I'm not sure how well the outer contoured top would fit on a short person with shorter legs but for me it works well. They clean up nicely and fit well with my breeches and Ariat paddock boots. The inner material is nice and grippy. I like that these come in a carry bag to keep them clean and protected. They look nice on. I have yet to try them out under saddle but will update once I am able to!

I'm not a rider and don't have a great deal of knowledge of the clothes etc that are worn while riding. I thought I was ordering the boot cover thingies in the picture. However, what arrived, was actual boots. I'm unsure if I misunderstood or if I was sent the incorrect item. The boots are very nice. They're heavy, super soft insoles, waterproof etc. Just not sure lol.
