These were for my daughter, who like most kids won’t bother too much with how she takes care of it. It’s been a few months and honestly I’m pleasantly surprised it withstood the test of a kids use. Easy to clean and smart.

I was excited about these, but I was disappointed when they arrived. Maybe I am a half-chap snob, though, as some reviewers really seem to enjoy these. Here is my opinion: The half chaps look much nicer/of higher quality in the photos on Amazon. The zipper seems really cheap. You can't really tell from any of the photos, but the company name/logo is visible on the half chaps, and it is tacky. The fit was extremely strange for me. The half chaps fit well around my calves, and their height was perfect, but the loop that goes around the bottom of the boot was GIGANTIC. I don't think that anyone could ride well or safely with such a fit. For people that ride at low levels or want to go on casual rides, these might be great (assuming they fit correctly), but anyone who spends a lot of time in the saddle should probably consider investing in some quality half chaps. I definitely learned my lesson!

These chaps definitely don’t look like real leather and are pretty thick and almost stiff if that makes sense. They fit nice and snug around my legs, but as with pretty much every other pair of half chaps or tall boots, they’re almost too long for my legs. I had to cut the bottom straps off because they were way too loose. When I pull them up as far as they’ll go the bottom of the sides almost reaches the sole of my boots. I bought these to use for lessons and they get the job done, just wish they made them like an inch shorter.

I ride outside in all weather, don't need $200 leather half-chaps that will get ruined. I have a 16" calf and very long legs. XL Great fit, comfortable, look nice.

You'd never know that these are cheap half chaps, considering the quality. I've paid more for worse in the past. These fit like a glove, have just enough stretch, and are very well made. Highly recommend.

Wow.. so glad i got these for my daughter! Just like the Equileather!! They look like tall boots!! They are very well made from what i can see. Time will tell. Theres only 2 things we frowned upon, one was that they zip in the back (like tall boots do) and not the side. But unlike tall boots that zip from the ankle upward, these zip from the top downward. So its a little difficult to do when u cant see to start because its behind the knee so her older sister has to do it for her. But the elastic helps them to stretch. We also put those balloonlike inserts in them (that u get when u buy tall boots) to help them stretch and form. The other thing was that when we first them on, my daughter complained that it dug into the back of her knees..after some investigating, i figured out what was poking her. The zipper,where its sewn into the boot, was lined with hard plastic ( im sure its so it doesnt rip away from boot with use) so the sharp edges that poked out, i took scissors to and rounded them off..and voila!! No more poke!! My older daughter loved these too... But she already has tall boots. Would buy again tho for sure!!

Lovely chaps at a good price. Followed measurements guide bought extra large had to return as too small! Also I personally didn’t like the zip at the back of the leg as I found it difficult to fasten.
