This is my review of the PPE-FIT Assless Leather Chaps for Men and Women – Premium Full Grain Cowhide Western Cowboy Motorcycle Chaps – Handmade, (4-XL)I thought I ordered the black, but brown came, however, this could very well have been an error on my part. I will try dying them black; that being said, these leather chaps are made from good quality leather that isn;t too stiff or too soft, the seams are well sewn, and they have a high gloss finish. I believe that they are made more for horseback riding than motorcycle riding due to the beadwork, which is done quite nicely, and the fact that the knees and hips are single thickness leather. Motorcycle pants would likely had doubled leather in the knees at least. They are a nice looking pair of chaps.I was glad I read some of the previous reviews before ordering them, or they would never have fit. I ordered the 4-XL size, which normally would have been huge on me. The waist was plenty big, and the thighs fit snugly over a pair of blue jeans. The length was a bit on the short side, but sot so short that they looked bad, especially with a pair of boots on. The size chart lists the 4-XL size as having a 46" waist and 27" thighs and a 35" inseam or height. I am 6'2" tall and have about a 36"-37" wist and large muscular thighs measuring 24"-25", and a 34" inseam. I hope the manufacturer decides to revise the size chart as that is preferable than customers having to guess what size will be big enough. Being assless chaps, they would normally be worn over a pair of pants for horseback riding or motorcycle riding; if worn in the bedroom, well...The waist is ajustable two ways, through lacing in the back as well as a belt-style closure in the front. The ankle or boot area has snap closures, and a zipper with a snapping cover, runs from there up to the top of the chaps to make them easier to put on. There is also a zippered gusset at the top of the thighs for added room. All zippers are nice heavy-duty YKK metal zippers. Long leather fringe runs the entire length of the legs.These good looking, hand made chaps are reasonably priced, and I recommend them. Just order a few sizes larger then normal...they have a 30-day refund and replacement policy if they don't fit like you want.

These are made of real leather. They feel thick and good enough quality but do not have the padding or double layer knees and hips I would expect for motorcycle PPE. Dress for the slide right? They are much better suited for horse back riding given the overall style; which leans slightly more to the feminine side IMO. As for "coon hunting" I can't recommend over the canvas pull over briar chaps, these are too bulky and restrictive in movement, I'd say the stickers would also scar up the finish of the leather on these. I got these for a teen boy who is 5'8" and skinny as a rail (wears 32"x34" jeans) He's big on cowboying his horse, hunting, and homesteading. I thought they might run small so I ordered 3 sizes up given their ability for size adjustment (zippered panels can be opened, tighten the belt, laces in the back, etc) It's a good thing because these XL size were TIGHT on the model who is a 38"x32" pant. They should fit the teen when adjusted to the middle holes. These are a lot of details, beading, and embellishment that give them a fancier vibe; and we may just trim down the fringe, a little so they don't drag or hang up on things when walking. Overall value? Real leather; semi embellished chaps aren't super common, depending on what you hope to use them for will determine their value to you at the price point of $110 I might buy again but these should last YEARS.

Very well made. It's just tight in the thighs. Not it's fault I gotta' lay off the bear claws.

I got these in 5X, which should have been so big I swim in them and, well... they're below skin tight, they're like bone wraps on me.Very nice quality, though, very well made.
