unfortunately you can't see how the app works before buying the unit, nobody shows the QR code for the app ahead of purchase once purchased the app was rated 2.5 out of 5. The app showed very little of operating parameters and even less programable values for the battery. I really wanted an app for my cell phone but now i guess i'm just stuck with the MT50 remote corded unit...I'm NOT a happy camper.

Using on a EPEVER Tracer AN 30A MPPT, indoor use. Bluetooth comm failed after ~6 weeks. My app is installed on Samsung phone that had at least one update during that 6 week period. Fiddling did not work. Removed the BLE device for a few hours, then decided to remove the Solar Guardian app and re-install before attempting reconnect. Using Local Connection, set controller type and Comm ID "1" and BLE device was found again.There is a small hole at the end of the BLE device. I tried a paperclip there but could not "feel" any reset button. I doubt if this attempt had any effect.

The Solar Guardian app took a bit to figure out when I set it up, but it's nice being able to access the info from anywhere there's cell signal.

I have the Tracer6420AN-ZSWK2 EPever solar controller. This is the correct cable to be able to connect that controller to my PC to configure it for LIthium batteries. I had some questions about how to use it and received excellent support from EPever.

This unit will drop connection and requires a mechanical reset, meaning you have to unplug unit and replug it to start wi-fi again. So, if you aren't home and it goes offline then you're out of luck. I have ruled out poor wifi signal as I have other devices further away that do not drop. I have utilized an extension in the hookup and have reduced drops to about 1 or 2 a week. Not bad now.The app provides useful information from my solar array.

Plugged right into my EPEVER PWM 60A Solar Charge Controller and works perfectly! This is used for keeping track of battery temps and allows the controller to adjust the charge rate based on battery temps. Worth the money!

I had MPPT inverter for over a year and multiple attempts use arrest for 85 port connection and my computer to program. It was very painful, never really succeeded. Always trouble through the windows to find the correct driver. Then the software never really dumped the programming into it and I give up. Then almost a year later after that event I decided you know. Let's give it a try. This little remote console I say red that it should be able to program my inverter to charge my lithium battery properly. Guess what? It took me 10 minutes to set everything up. The word of advice in my setup. I do have a full access to my MPPT inverter and it's reads out and it look like I don't need to have a remote console so I always carry the remote cancel with me in my camper just like a programming pad and I'm using only when I need to change something. Day-to-day charge level voltage currents I'm using the readout of the inverter. And this pretty much became a maintenance counsel.
