This rod is very compact, good to keep in your car for the times you happen on some nice fishing areas. It has a decent guide count and appears to be sturdy when extended out. I have not used this rod yet, so I can not say how it will stand up, time will tell. All in all it is not a bad rod for the price.

For the right reel and line that suits this rod is worth purchasing. When riding a bike electric etc. in a backpack instead of a long pole that doesn’t telescope can definitely win the day. Is solid and works well like a pole that doesn’t telescope. And a must have with other fishing gear. I’ve been investing in these for years and they do get better within time. Plus they’re great space savers.

We bought this rod for my son who was traveling with friends. It fit perfect in his backpack to carry on the plane. It wasn’t hard to extend and the quality was very good. Not flimsy like the other brands we have purchased in the past. Definitely would recur you need a packable fishing rod.

We reeled in this 40lb Needle Fish off the coast of Costa Rica with this rod. It handled the fish beautifully, was light weight enough for my kid to use and enjoy, and compact enough to travel with. I had this on a Penn Slammer 3500 with 30lb braid to 30lb Fluoro.My only issue and concern is with maintenance. The other telescopic rods I own all have a cap at the base I can screw off to rinse out any debris trapped on the inside of the telescopic rod. This one does not allow for that. However the build quality is excellent and for the price, hard to beat IMO.

I know a lot of guys are real anal about their fishing gear. And while I admire that and I see their point I have caught the biggest fish on children's rod and reels. That's just the truth of it. This is a nice rod and I am so glad I ordered this length. Upon careful inspection everything seems to be fastened straight correctly and looks great. I matched it with the Zebco Bullet 30 MG Spincast. I will be using this for backpacking and so I needed something light but effective and efficient. I think this will work out fine. I caught an 8 lb catfish on a child's telescoping Pole. And it didn't break. Maybe I should have just packed that. Lol. Life is just full of Little Wonders isn't it? But this is a good looking Rod it's well made and well priced. And it shipped extremely fast. The six and a half foot long rod compacts down to under 17 in and fits in the pack.

It feels like a really good rod to me, but I don't really know much. I got the 6.5' one without thinking about it much and it was bigger that I thought. It feels strong though. And it collapses down really small. Easy enough to just throw in a small backpack.

Let me start by saying I’m not new to telescopic rods, or fishing. On first impressions, I really liked the rod. I had bought two different brands to see which preferred and had picked this one to keep because it looked nicer and I liked the handle more. That was until I actually fully extended it, put a reel and line on and went to lightly load it to test the flex out. Upon being lightly loaded (similar to what a blue gill or very small bass would do) the second section from the tip just snapped.Good luck if you try and catch anything other than small pan fish I guess. Maybe I got a bad one out of the batch, I'm not sure, I just know the one I got was basically worthless.

This is one of the best Amazon finds I've had in a while. I like it more than my ugly stik rod. It telescopes down super small and is light, the pole stays friction locked when extended well. It's super sensitive. I'd call this a super-fast action more than a fast action rod lol. I can feel the slightest nibble. Even the slight vibration of a swirltail bait on a jig comes through. That makes it the perfect crappie jig fishing travel rod. It's easy to thread the line too since the line guides telescope next to each other.
