it held all my poles in place. you have to work them into the foam a bit but better than them coming loose and falling all over the place especially when towing out on the ice. I like it so far hope to get to use it much more next year.

I purchased this case in 2021 and have used for the past couple years. Not as nice as the Eagle Claw rod case however does do the job of protecting my rod/reels. If you are looking for a cheaper case this one will do the job.

It met all my expectations. I knew looking at it online that eight rods would be a challenge but I only ever carry two, so it works great for my use. It will hold extra rods but not with reels on them. That said there is lots of room to store other gear and the hard case is perfect for carrying in a sleigh. I can store all my tackle in there as well. So I'm very happy with it.

Absolutely one of the worst rod boxes I’ve ever seen. Showed up with one piece of foam. Didn’t open it up in time to be able to return it. Threw it in the garbage after a hinge broke apart after opening it for the 4th time just putting the two rods and reels it could actually fit into it

I tried this out for my ice rodsbut am now buying a different case to replace this one. It is an ok case, and is pretty durable. The foam cores hold the rod in place but there's nothing to support the handles nad the weight of the reel so the bounce around and come loose. I tried to add some straps to hold reels down, but it doesn't work great. Also, if you use inline reels, its not deep enough for the reel to fit vertically, so they all end up sideways, further complicating getting rods in and out.If you use the old Schooley rods or only spinning reels, it may work, but I am abandoning mine in favor of a different model with more depth and a better way to secure rods in place.

Good hard case. I fit 3 rods with reels in the bottom and 4 rods without reels on top. I wish it came with more foam to hold the reels in place. I added egg create foam to the top and bottom of both ends so the reels do not twist and bang around during transport.

Great box very sturdy. I currently have three rods on the bottom half and a Ht ice rigger tip up on the top half. Holds the rods very securely I have no worries about their safety. The tip up falls loose every now and again but I just have take the time to figure out a way to properly secure it. Lots of storage in the small compartments near the handle. I store extra line and smaller items there. Comes with the two small boxes as shown but I haven’t found a use for them yet. I would recommend this box to anyone who needs to protect their rods.

Ordered this thinking it will be a great replacement for my bucket, which I usually use to hold my ice rods. Out of the box it was very well built, and made in the USA. The case is sturdy and latches lock securely. However, after trying to fit my ice rods in there with reels on, I don't think this thing is worth the money I paid for it. There is no attachment to hold your reels securely in place when closed, and in order to fit your reels in there you have to fold down the handles (unless you have a very small ice reel). I have 2000 series Shimanos on my rods and they don't fit unless I fold the handles. Also, the description mentions you can fit 8 rods - this is inaccurate. With reels on, I would say 3 at the max. I don't like how when you close the box, the weight of the reel will flip it over inside the box and possibly may damage the delicate tips of your other ice rods. You can make a solution for this with a bungee or something like that, but for $70 bucks I don't want to be tinkering with a purpose made product. I returned this thing and will stick with my bucket, or attach some pipes to my sled for way less $. It may be a nice holder if you have an ATV or snowmobile, but it is bulky and awkward to carry in your sled.

I was trulzy amazed with the quality of this for what i consider a fair price. The thickness of the plastic makes it extremely sturdy. You put the foam inserts where you need them and they stay and do what they're supposed to.also the extra space is very convenient for small to medium sized boxes for my jigs and it came with two. All in all its a all around great product

The plastic case is a nice solid case. It's comparable to the kinds of cases you get with a power tool. There's enough room inside for four rods with attached reels and a little bit of other gear.Having a single case that can hold multiple rods can cut down on the trips from the truck to the ice house. My single gripe with the case is I really don't like the foam inserts that are supposed to hold the rods. If I were to carry detached rods, the inserts would be good. I found they struggled to hold my rods with attached reels. What I've found is the weight of the reels can cause the foam to detach, making opening the case a clumsy experience. One thing I could have done to fix this is to glue the foam pieces to the case. I didn't choose to do that.To better meet my needs I replaced the foam with egg shell foam through both of the large cavities of the case. I haven't taken it out yet, but I think it should work better for my needs. The one sacrifice I'm making with this system is there will be less room between the rods.
