HOTSTART engine heaters maintain an engine's operating temperature during downtime and serve as an excellent cold weather or emergency starting aid while eliminating needless idling. HOTSTART TPS models circulate heated coolant using the thermosiphon principle, a method of passive heat exchange which circulates a fluid without the necessity of a mechanical pump. HOTSTART TPS engine heaters provide even heat distribution resulting in reduced engine wear, quick start-ups and reduced emissions. The compact design is ideal for locations that require minimal mounting space. Mounted onto a Ford 3400 Diesel. Heats engine up to starting temperature within 2 hours.Longevity yet to be understood.

We have several chicken houses that we inherited so from time to time we have to replace this. It’s a pretty good deal. They work well and seem to last so far.

Put this on my home standby generator about a month ago and so far its been great. I was debating between the 1000 and 1500 watt one, choose the 1500 watt unit. When replacing realized my existing heater was 1000 watt, but with the thermostat, not really a big deal as it will just warm up faster.
