QUITE GOOD; HOLD THE PAD AGAINST THE VALVE COVER ON AN OLD 2.2L 1991 HONDAACCORD, AND IN COLDER WEATHER IT MAKES SOME GOOD DIFFERENCE IN THE INITIALWARM-UP OF THE ENGINE, ALLOWING IT TO START RUNNING MORE SLOWLY MUCH MOREQUICKLY. IT IS ENOUGH TO GENTLY WARM THE HEAD AND SOME OF THE OIL, AND ALLOWSTHE ENGINE TO IDLE SMOOTHLY AFTER STARTING, IN A MUCH SHORTER TIME. I DO NOT USETHE ADHESIVE, AS I MUST UNPLUG IT AND DRIVE AWAY, SO i SIMPLY PRESS THE PAD TO THECOVER. I USE IT ALL NIGHT, TO GET ENOUGH GENTLE HEATING FOR THE START.

I purchased this product ahead of a super-deep-freeze (below 0°F several nights). I have not used this product yet and probably won't until December 2025. It's certainly affordable.

I have these on two small tanks. I've checked the temp a few times when the outside temps were in the teens and my tanks were consistently in the forty to forty seven degree (ferinheit) range. Good enough for me.

Product on line says it has an auto shut off at 190° F.Instruction guide says 68° F. 68 degrees is worthless for heating up 5 quarts of oil in single digits.

I just received this and did some testing on it. It arrived in good shape and is a new item. Tube of silicone is present and everything looks right.I will raise or lower the ratings based on what I find when I actually install it.It draws 44 watts of power so it's pretty close to spec. I was looking for a relatively low powered pad and wanted to make sure it wasn't way out of spec on the high side. The pad gets up to about 180 deg in free air. Once it's installed on something that can draw heat out of it, it will not get as hot.

Misleading. Advertised at 150 watt heat pad but actual product is rated at only 50 watt.

Holy Whaaaa this bugger is the whip! Michigan winters can get a lil cold and my IR T30 air compressor gets really grumpy when it does. Yes, IR makes a block heater but ding dang they're pricey. Then I saw this guy and presto! Problem solved. It’s the perfect size to stick to the side of the two stage cast iron lung. Starts much easier. Now i just gotta set up something so i can turn in on/off thru WiFi. Hmmmm.??

Easy install and seems to adhere well. I installed this on my ford 860. I warmed it up for about 10 seconds first to get it to bend to the side of my oil pan and it stuck great. I used a block of wood to hold it until it fully bonded and now works great. Only used it a couple times but it gets very hot quick so be careful.

Contrary to the intended use, this is on an external tankless water heater and not my truck. I use it to keep the water heater from freezing over and busting when the temps drop. Along with a solid wrap of fiberglass insulation, I'm very pleased with this product and I'd happily recommend it for whatever use.
